Could an automotive transmission be adapted to a motorcycle or sportbike engine? I imagine that this would be possible. However, I do not know how something like this could be done. Or who I need to talk to with this idea as
Are the colorado transmissions the same as the t5 or ax15shifters? the shifter was already yanked from mine when I grabbed the transmission out of the junkyard
You'd have to use the nissan transfer case (TX15B). They are electronically controlled, but can be converted to manual. If you want to use a GM pattern transfer case, I have a guy that makes them, but needs a minimum order before he'd does a run.
Well done. Only thing down from t56 bell....my space is too tight to pull the trans in the z. With the t 56 I can pull just the trans and the bell seperate.
I've been thinking about putting a K series in my Cosworth Vega. The factory Cosworth engines are too obscure to build. A 300hp n/a k motor, 4.56 gears and a 5 speed would be awesome. uh oh.....
do you have any recommendation on how convert /hock the 4WD to this transmission? am not a mechanic but assisting my friend on searching on the idea if we use this kit and be able to use 4WD on the car. car is Superban 1500, 2005 , 5.3 L
@FABbot I am looking to mate an LS/LS4 engine and Honda transmission. Can your K20/K24 to LS transmission adapter kit be used in reverse or do you have a kit that will?
Hard to find 2wd drive ones anywhere near me. The 4wd ones are everywhere, but priced too high. Local Nissan dealer sells the 2wd one new for just under $2000. Part # 32010-EA200

Ok so I have a 2008 chevy colorado with this transmission. I'm custom building the interior and console so I relocated the shift lever so as I was was taking it out to powder coat it the little black cap/cup bushing fell off ... I'm pretty sure it's inside how can I get it out ?? Please help 🙏

Does the bell housing / adapter hang much lower than the oil pan? I'd be curious to know how much lower than the stock block it is. This is rad as hell and opens up a lot of possibilities for us RWD K-swapped folks
