This happens more because there is no temperature gauge in newer model cars because some smart person thought it would be a good idea to remove it from the dash cluster yep temp lights on now it's going to cost you big$$$ oops it got hot and now it's stuffed

thanks for the good work mate, i had the same problem and change them cam pullys but still have the problem, i opened it again and it has a light slop in it and i don't know what to do next. can help me with it. many thanks. jawid.
@@samerhany8203 I found a solution for sure 😆🫣 I sold Astra 3 months ago and I can tell you it was the best solution. Now I've got Passat 2.0 B6, 2010 and finally I can sit in my car and enjoy the ride.
Good and reliable engine/ Sure you will have troubles with DPF + catalyst. Mileage above 300.000 km - we have no troubles!! Chain replacement - very attentively should be conducted. But fuel consumption is not very low about 6L/100km ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-557mM-U2Mp8.html
nice to have further confirmation that mine's knackered before I get into sorting it, cheers (driven wheels spinning in the air, mine also 'binds' slightly every revolution), possibly further confirmation
I have a similar problem, equinox 2011. I changed the chains and tensioners and the noise like yours increased, but it only appears when the car warms up (operating temperature). Can be VVT Camshaft?
Same happened to my C2 but the belt garbed again turning the cam at the wrong time, bent al 8 valves. Fortunately I found that the car is easy to work on and not at all expensive to repair. The 16valve is another story.
@@stanleynaiker2851 The one in the video is 8 valve, but the 1.4 16 valve is a lot more work to repair and a lot more exspensive. In my county a gaket set for the 16 valve is 4x more exspensive than that of the 8 valve and the only difference is cam oil seals, valve stem seals and valve cover gaskets.
What mileage did it go at mate? My 1.4 is on 135k factory timing chain and head gasket it runs like a diesel so I’m assuming it’s not got long left lol thanks
