I just got approved for the c-leg and I can't wait to try it out! I would love to incorporate some of this video in my YT video about it. Who do I contact to ask for permission?
Have had the Helix hipjoint and the c leg for 6 months after amputation 1 year ago. I’m so pleased with it. My criteria was that it was as light as possible but in the same time advance enough to satisfied me. I tried kenevo and the genium for a periode but landed for c leg. I use only 1 stick/cruch when walking.
I find it interesting in the description above it reads; 'the C-Leg increases resistance to provide the support you need to recover before you fall'. I am a hemipelvectomy and am currently in to the seventh month of wearing my new prosthesis that has an Ottobock C-Leg knee joint and associated ankle joint, plus a 7E7 Ottobock Titan Modular hip joint. The knee joint was updated from an Ottobock 3R60 to an Ottobock C-Leg. After only 7 months use I believe it is too early to provide a true comparison analysis between the 3R60 & C-Leg knee joints. Nevertheless I will make this key statement. Although the C-Leg 'increases resistance to provide the support you need to recover before you fall' as stated in the description above - It still DOES NOT COMPLETELY PREVENT FALLING - and that is extremely important for any lower limb amputee and especially hemipelvectomy or hip disarticulation lower limb amputees.
Here is New Zealand I believe the Ottobock C-Leg used in my prosthesis cost $60,000. I am a trauma hemipelvectomy - the highest level lower limb amputation where my left leg hip joint and pelvis is amputated. As there is very little stump [no stump] for the socket to fit on to, it is very difficult for me to wear and use a prosthesis. Nevertheless each time I fit my prosthesis on to my body I GAIN IN STRENGTH and SKILL to use it effectively and efficiently. In other words I am proving to medical science it is actually possible for a trauma hemipelvectomy to wear and use a prosthesis effectively and efficiently. Hopefully I am able to motivate other lower limb amputees so they can wear and use their prosthesis/artificial leg/s too.
@@thechum9653 yes but BK amputees are way more than AK at some points of time But C-Leg is so badass that's why I want it to have a BK version,I am BK and Im fond of C-Leg Design but ik that it's mainly for the knee mechanics that BK does not have cause we still had a knee😁
My grandson is 20 and had an accident about a year ago. He doesn't have any use of the fingers on his right hand. He has regained use of his right shoulder and arm. Will this device eventually make his hand function normally?
The artificial legs look fantastic and I can hardly wait to experience the freedom it will give me thanks for the information that is available for the ossur balance knee
Go regular hydraulic unless your rich or older that's a lazy .rich man's leg I had one in 2008 and it sucked I'm happy with a regular 4000 dollar leg screw that overrated eighty thousand dollar piece of crap
