A Finalist for the Orthotic Prosthetic Group of America (OPGA) Woman of the Year Award, Brooke Artesi has a full Sunshine Life - she earned a degree in fine arts before pursuing a career in the orthotics and prosthetics industry. She has been in O&P for 16 years and is a CPO (Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist) and LPO (Licensed Prosthetist-Orthotist). In 2013, Brooke opened Sunshine Prosthetics and Orthotics. A transtibial amputee herself, her active lifestyle inspired her to create the Sunshine Amputee/Adaptive Hikes for Beginners, Team Sunshine which participates in charity fundraisers, and adaptive yoga sessions as a Certified Yoga Instructor. Brooke also volunteers for a variety of organizations, including Camp No Limits, No Limits Limb Loss Association, Never Say Never Foundation, Amputee Coalition of America, the Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation, and the NJ Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.
