Great sound! I'm FBO with IS20. I have an upgraded clutch (Stage 4 Ringer Racing) and short throw shifter as well. I went with TVS Stage 2+ tune (they are located in the Atlanta area). The upgraded turbo is the next step for me. You did great providing all the info I needed to get started on my purchases. I will likely need to have it Tuned again but, that's all good. I went from bone stock back in April 2024 to dropping it off and picking it up with everything done to it. It is a complete monster compared to stock. Now it's October, just about 7 months after upgrades and I'm already itching for more power. I LOVE IT! Thanks again for the content.
I love the video. Thanks for sharing the information I do have one question I’ve been a Honda guy, my whole life, and I’m trying to switch over to Volkswagen because I love the GTI This been my first Volkswagen to own what’s the most reliable GTI year to go with and what horsepower range for a daily driver ( Non Racing Tune) I just wanna be able to drive it daily with it being reliable and just do some fast poles every now and then on the stretch of highway
@@HaydenCroix I was thinking of getting a used very low mileage 2012-2013 GTI or a 2017 GTI DSG what tune would I have to get done on the DSG if I want to run 400hp And roughly, how much would it cost to tune the GTI to push out 400 hp
@@iitzpepsii you will need to upgrade the turbo to an is38 which can be bought used for cheap ish then a tune and supporting mods to go with it depending on where you live and the climate.
The intercooler piping on the cold side does not match up to ECS tuning cold side pipe you'd have to go source a reducer or use arm motorsports Turbo piping that will match to the one that's in the kit
@@rd2dab cost can vary based on brand, but around $1000-$1500. As far as not having a lift, neither do I. All of these can be done in a garage with a bit of research a jack and some standard tools.
@@aphroEA888 just need to make sure engine is above 150 degrees F. Then fully depress the brake then full throttle and it should engage launch control.
@@HaydenCroix people say there's a particular sequence but even the steps in the manual don't get the message to show up. What steps did you used thanks for reply so fast 10/10
@@aphroEA888 if you drive a manual I don’t know that it will show the message. If you have a Cobb AP you can use it to enable it as well as set the rpms to as high as 5500
@@HaydenCroix oh so I still have to code the car to actually have that message come up. I have the auto mk7 Gti Perforemance thought i was doing it wrong. Dope account tho bro helped a tone with my build 🙌🙌
@@aphroEA888 thanks! And yeah if you didn’t select launch control when ordering your Cobb AP you may also be able to long code it through OBD11 as well.
I know vid is from a bit ago but, what wing were you running in this vid? I’ve been looking for a better looking wing but have only seen videos with that divot in the middle. Much appreciated
this is not hidden everyone know that what everyone don't know for exemple dq250 limit torky is 400 if u go more dq250 make a stutter around 400-600nm for exemple*
@@inhanddeliveriesservices4490 it is because of the paint thinner in the can keeping it a in liquid form. You could also use a paint cleaner if you wanted but considering you likely have left over VHT this is a good way to clean them.
Do you have to undo the shock bolt when you adjust the spring (ride) height ? I've seen a video where they unbolt the shock to meet the control arm bolt once they've lowered it. Is it the same as just spinning it whilst its on like you do?
@@HaydenCroix Thanks, I thought it makes it way easier if u spun the shock body instead of undoing it entirely. Seems like it does the same thing both ways.
Hey Hayden, thanks for the videos... Do you have a LSD? What tires and air pressure are you running up front? Just curious since some of those factors might help you squeak into the high 4's if you could get more traction... Obviously these FWD cars are far better for 30 or 40 rolls, not 0-60.... Too bad the wheel wells weren't bigger... I only went with 245's on mine since I didn't want to roll the fenders and remove the liners to squeeze 265's like the Civic Type-R... (I have a Mk7 GTI with EQT Stage 2 and am preparing to install a larger APR DTR6054 Turbo and E85 Tune... My goal is to get more mid and high rpm power where I'll have more traction to use it...)
Makes me wonder what Unitronic tune you got I run stage 1+ 93, with yokohama Adnan UHP+ and I spin a lot first and second, spin a little in 3rd and chirp 4th on my Mk6, intake, catback, r8 tune-up, f1 wheels on 35psi it's a fully loaded car, power everything, heated seats, leather interior
Your likely spinning because your running 35 psi. I run 24 psi when having fun with the car. That being said Unitronic is a great tune, just not as aggressive as Sneekytuned
@@HaydenCroix yeah I dont drop psi rating much I've heard horror stories of guys snapping axles getting a lot of wheel hop. Guess it's just something I've never wanted to experience. You're probably right though. I don't have any experience with sneaky tunes.
