I'm Alley Cat, just a regular cat who loves collecting cameras, then trying to figure out how to justify having them. This channel isn't about getting tons of likes or subscribers. It's more like a personal reminder for me to make the most out of my cameras and to show you the unnoticed beauty around us.
What I'm really into is capturing the little moments and hidden spots that we usually miss - like a quiet corner in a busy city, the gentle sounds in a forest, the beauty of tiny waterfalls, or the untold stories in buildings both old and new. It's all about real, unfiltered life moments.
I'm here to share these little slices of life with you, hoping they spark something in you to go after what you love, be it DIY stuff, adventures, or just everyday stories. And hey, if you drop a friendly comment, it honestly means the world to me - even more than likes or subscribes. So, come along and let's explore and discover together!
Here is the one in the video: a.co/d/4l6wTz1 But they have a wrench version which is better for this stuff, I just couldn't find it at the moment: a.co/d/cKzKE0d They also have a set with both and a pouch that's good for EDC: a.co/d/3agEwoN
@@randomalleycat I’ve researched more and seems like pressing the user button for 5 seconds turns off the Heltec, so switch might not be needed. So far I’ve added physical switch between battery and terminal for every v3 I’ve own. Again, very nice design, thank you for it.
This is the most well thought out/best case for the t-beam by far. Tried others, none come close. Fits like a glove, can be easily accessorized and remixed. Keep up the great work.
Nice soldering iron -- I need to get one of those. And great video! I'm expecting my T-Deck board, case and battery next week and putting it together. I didn't get a GPS chip but watching this I'm thinking about it....
I really love these cases, sadly I would need a mix of the HT Slim and the HT Slim Pro, because I have the small antenna but a 3000mAh MakerFocus Battery. Now I think I have to design my own case, but I still love yours and would absolutely use one of your designs if there would be one suitable for me
I do have a case that replaces the WisMesh Pocket case called MeshPack, and I plan to make a smaller version. If you join my Discord, you can help with development and testing.
This is the first thing I printer on my new X1C after a benchy, and the fit was 100% Really great case. The GPS antenna I chose was a bit big, but I found a solution, as I was using the deep case back anyway.
Hi very nice design. I installed buzzer and vibra and configured it in notification...but during reboot, there is no test. how can I test them?? (Have no 2nd client yet)
@@martingerhardsoos Not on Github, just directly but there is a lot of function stuff they are dealing with, so it doesn't seem like a priority. If you want to put it on Github though, go for it!
Check the Printables page linked in the description, there is a link to the batteries I used. Technically it's not a JST connector because the 1.25 pitch JST connectors have a latch, it's actually a generic connector based on the Molex PicoBlade. We all just call it JST because that's the most common brand of these style connectors.
I like the RAK antenna, but if you don’t have one sitting around already, usually you get the heat shrink coil antenna in the kit with a Heltec unless you got the SMA. Of course you could always use the SMA version or the case! Unfortunately I don’t have the equipment or expertise to do a legitimate comparison test, but I think it’s better to just go with what you have or is easiest to acquire in this situation.
In the summer of 1982, the ad agency I recently joined (Clark & Associates) was tasked to save the fledgling Waterworld at Cal Expo. The TV commercials I produced, directed, and edited energized the people of Sacramento, Stockton, and Modesto, making the park a success. The excellent cameraman was Steve Lombardi from KXTL TV40. I edited the spots off-line in my office on a JVC 3/4" video system, and then finished the spots at TV40's online video editing suite.
Excellent 3D Builds, best I’ve seen and just what I’ve been looking for. Do you have a 3D Case with a Belt Clip that would fit the Heltec Wireless Tracker
@29:37 A 15 dBi antenna, and Meshtastic at 1 watt on that tower would be magic. Even a small, drone delivered magnetic solar stealth node might be fun :) What a lovely video, thank you very much.
@@randomalleycat yes but the other has a sma right angle conector, and this use the usual straight sma i like both but i think this is more portable but i only have the 3000 mha bateries
I snagged a T-deck with a HGLRC GPS module. I got my wires correctly soldered, but get "No sats" pretty much always. Red light is on for a bit but eventually goes off and only blue remains. Can't understand what is going on.
If you're sure that your wires are connected properly, you also want to make sure that GPS mode is enabled in the settings, and then just leave it powered on in a place that you know gets a good signal, outside if you can, and you might need to restart it after a while as well. If you join my discord, you can get some more help pretty quickly as well.
@@randomalleycat If you can make me as good as you at 3D modelling that would be awesome thanks 😁- still very much a novice here and getting things to fit right and look good is a real skill! Thanks again.
I worked for Millers Outpost and Anchor Blue back in the day when that mall was jumping. We would go to the theater after work and across the street there was a bowling alley and arcade. I so wish it could be revived it’s convenient when I need to go to Macy’s or JCPenny.
@@viviansnyder8247 I completely forgot Millers Outpost was even a thing! That whole area was objectively so much more interesting back in the 1900s. Remember King’s Table?
Unfortunately it will not. I don't have that device so I haven't made a case for it, but I will have the T114 soon and will have a case for it available.
