The cases in the video are the Signature Series with the logo on the front and the Alley Cat signature inside and on the molle clip. Not currently available anywhere, but I will let you know when they are. In the meantime if you want the cat on the front, I will give it to you in my Discord if you ask for it!
I finally got my inserts and batteries to finish my HT Pocket yesterday. I managed to print the whole thing with CF PETG with .6mm nozzle .3mm layer height. It only took a little convincing to go together. You know some designs look really cool, but after you print them they... how to put this delicately. They loose some of their magic. That's what I really like about your designs. I'm always more impressed after I print them. I think I told you the HT Pocket ticked all my boxes as far as what I just happened to be looking for. If you run out of ideas I'd love to see something similar with the Heltec Tracker, or somehow make room for a GPS in this series. The idea is for a group of people to be able to look at the map to see where everyone else in a given area utilizing the smallest form factor. That is without using the cell phones GPS of course. The point of that is just to simplify things. Like, "Here's your node. Off you go." I think that part of Meshtastic is drastically overlooked and underutilized. Think construction sites, concerts, conventions, parks of all kinds, field trips, etc.
I'm really glad you like them, honestly I get impressed after I print them out sometimes too! It feels good to be doing something I enjoy, and to be able to share it. If you hadn't seen the latest video yet of the Pocket with the antenna, you might be happy with the RAK version. It has GPS and no display, just one button. So you can go off grid and just strap one to everyone's backpack and everyone can keep track and in touch! The benefit of having the GPS built in is you can turn off your phone GPS to save battery, and if one of your party is lost, maybe they dropped their phone or it died, you can still track them.
@@randomalleycat The RAK sounds about ideal. I like the idea of the Tracker, but it's a real battery hog in comparison. Thanks again for sharing your talents with us, and I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
I agree, I think these ones work especially well strapped onto a backpack, and really the Slim fits better in a pocket than the Pocket does! Who even named these things?!
I really love these cases, sadly I would need a mix of the HT Slim and the HT Slim Pro, because I have the small antenna but a 3000mAh MakerFocus Battery. Now I think I have to design my own case, but I still love yours and would absolutely use one of your designs if there would be one suitable for me
