I think i can give you the best idea regarding this as i have purchased both and according to my experience j chemistry is the best for clearing competative exam whereas chemacadey some teachers are good some are not abd also management is worst in chemacadedeny but some teachers are really brilliant. But j chemistry is overall complete package so go for j chemistry.

I can totally relate with you. Aisa hi mera CGPDTM ka patent examiner ka interview hua. Maine detail concepts pe itna jyada focus kra ki jo book ke chapters ke 1st page me intro hai usko answer nhi kar paayi. I was expecting ki ye pucchenge toh aise bataungi, wo pucchenge toh aise bataungi, but kucch bhi nhi hua waise. Bohot fumble kar rahi thi and bohot hi unorganized answers the mere. Itna worst ki mjhe Li batteries kaise kaam karti hai ye pta hai but uske examples me confusion ho gyi😢😢😢. Bohot embarrassing moment tha wo meri life ka. Mai kbhi nhi bhool skti.
