I have a 2003 eclipse gs 2.4L i4 4g64 can I swap that with the 6g75 mivec also do I need to get a specific year of the 6g75 mivec engine I heard that only 2006-2007 engines will swap correctly
Hey man, was thinking. Do you know how much it weighs?? I have a dream of getting a 2g eclipse and swapping a 6g75 in, it has been done before however I need a a543 transmission so it fits rather than a 3.0 trans because then (supposedly) you have to cut the frame so obviously that's not safe. But if that doesn't happen then I will comeback to the 3g community and most likely buy the gt version and swap in the 6g75.
i dont knows if u still use youtube or check your phone but like what length are your studs and what spacer are u running im having trouble clearing the the bermebo
I have a 3g Gts. But honestly I'd rather buy a 4g gt with the motor already in it. Guess it all in what you want.to do. It's alot.of work an most people don't have the skill , tool or know how to do the swap. Which is about 99% of the people who ask about it..
@nickgoodwin8332 along as it's a sebring coupe it's not a bad swap. You need the water neck from a 6g74. You can reuse the intake manifold from a 6g75 and I'm sure there's more details I'm just sadly waking up lol
I'm looking to do the AWD swap to my eclipse most of it seems easy enough pull the subframe and put the 2g AWD one it and longer bolts if needed but is there anything you have to do to the gas tank or does it all fit right
The thing I hate the most about 3Gs is that 90% of V6 coupes are automatics. So I got a converitble. It doesn't suck, I enjoy it, but it kinda sucks that I couldnt find a coupe
