A little about me: I'm a Star Trek 🖖 & Stargate ᐰ nerd. I'm a narcoleptic who has insomnia. I'm a father. I'm a husband. I'm a son. I'm a worry wort. I'm "that guy" who can fix your tech issues. I do data engineering as a day job. Admittedly, I have been a Florida Man for almost 30 years, but I stay out of the news.
@@TheSleepyCraftsman I’ll expand on what he’s saying lol. The purpose of the dryer box is to be able to have the dryer as close to the wall as possible. The dryer box in your wall was supposed to be where your magvent ended up being so whoever installed it originally did it wrong.
At first the electricity goes through the bridge rectifier, to 'straighten' it out. After that the condensors get charged. Since it's for 190 it won't be a problem to try. But probably it's the controlling circuit which gets underpowered. One of the smaller transformers should create that... Currently most 120 and 240 switching power supplies are almost the same, search the controller chip, get the datasheet and look where it gets it's power from, that's the circuit you need to modify.
It might even work depending on how it’s designed. No harm in trying it. It’s the transformer (the square black part ) that steps the voltage down and than those transistors / capacitors I think are doing the rectifying to make it dc. Plug it in and put a volt meter on the output and see what voltage comes out.
I don't know why I'm seeing this but why don't you just put a face frame on the cabinets with dowl screws and glues to help keep a square because if you shim those out it's eventually going to stick and anyway your drawers won't work right
200 from walmart wow...i just spent 330 at autozone for my sisters car i was assuming a 1 minute replace time quick and easy took me way longer but anyways thanks for the video!
Like many others, I've saved a "dead" Dyson for some time. Found your video and purchased the parts you recommended (Amazon). After one use, the vacuum will work VERY intermittently (meaning, it runs for < 10 seconds; then if left alone for a minute, will run for 10 seconds again). I'm guessing that the issue is NOT the new battery, but is the adapter. Maybe I got a lemon? Thoughts???
@@TheSleepyCraftsman Oh my gosh! Thanks so much for your quick response. The adaptor was through Amazon (marketed as "BTRUI for Dyson V7 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Battery Convert to for Dyson SV11 V7 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner Handheld Vacuum Converter (only DW20V7 Adapter)" The battery is a DeWalt 20v POWER STACK.
Guides? I wish. I cobbled together a bunch of random stuff from RU-vid and blogs. Eventually, I plan on making my own beginner guides since I have been disappointed with what's out there, especially with regards to programming.
I've lost bearings when routing laminates and using contact adhesive. One can leave them in WD40 to clean gunk off but the bearing seals will still have a shortened life. DeWalt's good stuff 👍
V15 is awesome, it's bit of a shame that the only con I can come up is the battery life, although I can do my 55 sqm apartment twice + some quick small clean-up every now and then before I have to recharge. It's a shame Dyson just doesn't give us battery that could do couple hours easily.
Chinese bearings. I used to be a skateboarder. Whenever you're bearing says China on it, you were guaranteed to have to buy a new set before the summer is over. I would imagine Dewalt thought they were saving money by buying bulk Chinese bearings. They could've ponied up and paid the extra $.26 for a Swiss bearing that would've outlasted the tool. But this is how it shakes out these days. The whole world losing their stupid minds over Covid let all the businesses in the earth dial back their quality by 50% and then after Covid they've only returned 20% back to the original quality.
I did that to got a 5mah to replace my 2mah battery and burned out a 5 year old drill woukd have worked till the day i died but i wanted that juicy battery and it took it out
We had a lease for a house all signed, but it turned out that there was mold and other major issues. The owner gaslit us but did let us walk away with our money back. The market is bad here, so we ended up just having to stay put for another year.
