I was wondering why the breakfasts at the hotels were not included, as they typically ate with your tours? Are breakfasts available or will we have to leave the hotel to have them.
The shopping mall can afford you a peek into what's happening locally. Also, I found Tavira Plaza had better coffee and pastel de nata than my 4-star hotel did. Prices were more affordable because locals shop/eat there.
Gordon , very true about trying things that you are not sure of ! I did 5 years all over China with my job years ago . Some of the best fun was eating things that were not part of my regular diet but so much fun. Isn’t that part of travelling!🥳😎
I had to laugh when you mentioned picking up your plate and smelling your food. I try to control myself in restaurants, but I usually will lean over my plate and inhale the scent of the food. And I do get teased about this as well.
I remember when we were in the Cook Islands for a trip when I was still working a stressful job ! Looking out at the rolling surf for an afternoon was very therapeutic and calming😇😎
We call these Sparkle Adventures or Good-Bad Luck. They are the part of our trip we remember forever. Like being so lost we found an unmarked ferry in Saskatchewan; or the roads in Italy and the driver having to pull in the mirror to pass someone; stumbling across a whiskey tour in Galway (not hard, but unexpected and super fun!). Even the "Effing Adventures" become sparkle ones over time. Breaking down on the side of a random road in British Columbia and being rescued by an amazing family that happened to own the only tow company in the area and only being charged pennies for that rescue - it really wasn't so terrible in the long run. Weird or Bad things happen, but if you focus on the Ok parts they turn into memories you can treasure forever.
Hi Susan, It's all about perspective, isn't it? Focusing on the positive aspects allows us to transform these challenges into cherished memories. After all, it's the unexpected twists and turns that often make our travels truly unforgettable. -W&A
Hi Gordon. We've seen a Roma swarming in St. Petersburg, and rode the subway in Moscow, trying to read what seems like 36 letter Cyrillic street names at some 30 klicks an hour to decide if this is our stop, but our best story is in Venice. We have successfully navigated several of the major cities in Europe, but found Venice a true challenge. We had a map that was folded into 16 squares, and we asked a local where we were, showing him square #3, where we thought we were. He unravelled the map, and showed us that we were actually in square #12, nowhere near where we thought we were. But we did tour St Mark's square (and the church) and sighed on the bridge of sighs. I have another story about stopping all train traffic from the Gare du Nord in Brussels, and were asked to never return to Belgium, but that's another story.
Your travel tales are fascinating! Navigating through St. Petersburg and Moscow must have been quite the adventure, especially with Cyrillic signage. And Venice sounds like a maze of surprises. The map mix-up in Venice is a classic travel mishap, but at least you found your way to St. Mark's Square and the Bridge of Sighs. As for your Brussels escapade, I'm intrigued! Thanks for sharing your adventures. They sound like unforgettable experiences! -W&A

I absolutely love both long planning and short notice travel. If I see a deal I will book it and figure out the logistics later. But my emphasis is a deal. This savings compensates for possible higher and less efficient travel to get there.
Makes it even better when the airport has a last minute deal! Check out this Forbes Article www.forbes.com/sites/laurabegleybloom/2022/11/30/why-last-minute-travel-is-the-best-way-to-go-deals-and-more/?sh=58d3349f4ad7

Whats up. saw your RU-vid channel and understand you are a RU-vidr. Very nice video on your channel, I really enjoyed it. Total subscribers 495 and a Total of 537 Uploaded videos of your channel. I noticed one thing according to your channel your channel videos are not viewed and subscribed. You need to optimize your channel and do video SEO to reach your target audience. Otherwise, if you upload videos to your channel throughout the year, none of your videos will get viral views. If your channel is optimized a little and if the videos are SEO then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow. And monetization of your channel will be on. As a professional digital marketer, I want to help you with this. let's discuss your channel I am looking forward to your response

As I sit here, with my feet dangling over the dock at a lake in Ontario pondering the beauty of life, I listened to your video. Your words resonated loudly. I could not have met more beautiful like-minded travellers than those I met with you in Koh Samui a few months ago. You said “Having people to expand with is probably not how most of us think about it, but in the big picture those people probably end up being part of some of the best experiences of your life.”
