Dear Master. Can you tell me the characteristics of the device for the mechanical application of the composition on the stones? Do you make the cement mixture that you apply yourself or buy a ready-made shotcrete?
To create a smoother texture, you would do two things one use a finer sand to make your mix a little more liquid. To make a mix that will create a rougher texture use larger size, sand, and dryer mix the thicker the mix the more coarse the texture becomes. Thanks for watching my video.
The styrofoam cement mixture sprayed over an inflatable bag with rebar might be perfect for building in areas where insulation is not as important as earthquakes.
Tried you site, and it said this site cannot be reached. Entered exactly what’s in your video for html address. Also, put your name in World Wide Web, and it’s not coming up. You may want to look into the issue. Kinda odd.
THANK YOU for this video! i’m attempting to make giant stone slabs with hieroglyphics carved into them, let me know if you’d have any advice for the carving process that’s the part i’m scared for😅🙏🏽
Thank you for your positive feedback. I really appreciate you watching my video. I’ve done a lot of hand carving over the years and the key is to have a Mud that’s strong but not too strong so as it doesn’t crack as it dries, but you wanna let it dry enough that you can carve it but it’s still firm .
Yes, using the tinfoil the manner that you suggested could be done. keep in mind that there are a lot of alternative processes and formulations to augment this current methodology being shown. My three day hands-on class is typically $1650 that also purchase the 15 day synthetic rock Dvd training course as well plus ongoing tech-support . Most of the time I suggested you call and discuss your objectives because I have different formats to serve you with. Thanks , Jim 971-237-2957
@lindakleckner215 $1,650.00 is the cost for the three day hands-on class. I also have a $700.15 day Dvd training course available as well. thanks for watching my video.
@@fauxrock Oh. I'm sorry I'm quite sure that's a bit too expensive for me. I enjoy watching you make stuff though. I'll probably have to try something on my own. Thanks for your films🙂; it's neat!
Your videos are great! As somebody who has always wanted to make a ton of stuff out of concrete and hasn't had the space before but does now - it'd be really helpful to have clear instructions about what is in each mud mix you're using throughout each video, even if it's just in the notes after :D Don't stop making these, they're so helpful!
Thanks for your positive feedback. I really appreciate you watching my video. You might want my 15 day synthetic rock DVD training course. Check out the bronze package on my website. www.fauxrocktraining.com
It would be nice to see your rocks in a waterfall/ lanscaping planter in path, finished product showroom type use other that that they look like concreat fake rocks !
Take a look at the photos and videos on my website. There are a lot of finished rock and stone projects, large pools, spas and water features. Thanks for watching.
No… after posting the video I never really received any inquiry for the template so I discarded them. it is very easy to make. If you look at the video footage, you can stop the video and see the way that I have laid it out is really really simple. Thanks for watching my video.
I’m assuming you’re referring to the tables that I’m building the rock on??? if so, they are generally 2’ x 3’ or four depending on the table and 29 inches tall
No, the panels are made with a fiber reinforced cement, using a mold they look very realistic. And it weighs about 3 to 6 pounds a square foot depending on the type of rock that we make.
I was a bricklayer contractor for 40 years now my body has gone south I would love to use light weight products to teach with ,,,bricks when used to forming a cavity the strength comes from that cavity filled with concrete steal never made sense to me that bricks and blocks in some applications where made so heavy in the main stream building in Australian
Thank you for your videos. Will your cardboard faux boulders with 3/4 thick fiber reinforced cement formulation or your faux rocks using 2-3 layers of mud and mesh, support kids climbing on them? Thanks
Well, thank you for the feedback and the time you’ve taken watch my video. Yes either route would work well and support children and or other loads very easily
I utilize many different formulations for my Cement mixes, depending on the application. Due to the fact that I have a lot of RU-vid viewers that will not ever participate with me as a paying customer I generally use a mortar mix that I buy premix from Lowe’s or Home Depot, which was the case in this video. There are many performance enhancements to increase characteristics that can be applied or formulated.. if you’re interested further you can always give me a call to discuss my services 971-237-2957. Thanks for watching.
I am BLOWN away by what you make, absolutely incredible work. I discovered your channel exploring ways to make large lightweight sculptures to sink for scuba divers. Question, what kid cement mix are you using? Without going to a specialty store I can only find 6000PSI. Thank you
Well, thank you very kindly. I appreciate that and I appreciate you watching my video. I have developed several different formulations for many applications . I truly believe that increasing the strength of the mix allows us to use less which at the end decreases our weight
You know, I do make a lot lighter mixes than this process and or formulation I used in the video. This was just a video to articulate rebar and techniques.
Love this! I need to put new lot # out front on both my lots. This will look great and then do some big rocks - I want a fire pit too in between my two lots somewhere. :-) Using blocks or rocks (real ones) :-) Thanks loads. Now if I can just get my material gathered. Oh yeah.
I’ve actually designed blinds before using our tree panel molds and also I did a rock version of it as well. Both were segmented for easy transport and easy to assemble and very durable lightweight. I did this about 10 years ago, but the project never came into fruition. It’s always been something I wanted to mass produce, as I believe there would be a huge potential. Thanks for watching my video.
What a cool project. My grandsons have always been fascinated with dinosaurs. They're teenagers now and still love collecting dinosaur figurines and collectibles.
Is this something I can purchase! I’m doing a full basement ( daylight) and gable end on one side and the triangle section that’s not covered by windows on the opposite side
Yes, but we only fabricate custom jobs. Where in the customer gives us the dimensions of their layout we custom make the interlocking panels to fit your layout we custom stain and package and shipped to your door all for $47 per square foot. call me if you’re interested further… Thanks for watching my video.
