Where do you get your mesh? Any tips on that one? I'm mad my roommate threw all my cardboard out. I had enough to lay on ground for a new flower bed set up and make me a n rock to put in it. Man I'm mad...finding good ideas where to pick up cardboard though. I want to make a rock!! One the cat can lay and stretch out a bit while I have Coffee and watch me pick weeds.

Im Super excited for your staining video! 🤩 How light would you estimate you could make a cement boulder of that size 4’x8’ ? I would like to cover my septic system so I would need to be able to move it every couple years. 👍 as always ❤your content

Thank you very much for the feedback. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my video. A lot of times, when I make a bigger rock outcropping a segmented which allows me to be able to make it into move it in the future more easily . Instead of thinking of a boulder you should think of a boulder outcropping, but if I was to make a 4‘ x 8‘ rock say that was a foot tall. I could make that 168 pounds.

what Glue ( name or product) are you using? I did not hear it if you mentioned it. ( do you make it or Buy it?). If/do you use more than one type for different applications? thanks!
@fauxrock
@fauxrock Год назад
Thank you very much for the feedback. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my video. There are a lot of different manufactures of this glue , which is simply 100% acrylic waterbase glue. The brand this motion nationally recognized as a product called acral, 60.
@allisongoodlin2826
@allisongoodlin2826 Год назад
@@fauxrock thanks for all of your great videos, I've learned so much!! I understand acryl 60 is an admix similar to Sika at homedepot... but they recommend adding it to your mortar mix, why do you spray it on an hour before versus simply adding it in to your mix? --- Also can you spray it on days before or do you recommend just before you start mudding?
@fauxrock
@fauxrock Год назад
@allisongoodlin2826 I use it as a bonding agent and if I’m doing cardboard, I use it to seal the cardboard so it doesn’t absorb water and loses rigidity.

We need to know the secret cement mix u use
@fauxrock
@fauxrock Год назад
The only way to accomplish that is to purchase one of my training courses…
@fauxrock
@fauxrock Год назад
In the beginning when I made the rock originally I just use the mortar mix from Lowe’s and that’s all I was going to do for this entire Rock project. I only switch to my high strength. Fiber reinforced cement mix because of the flat top having structural requirements that I couldn’t do with the mortar mix without going 3 inches thick.

What hydro seal product are you using? And where do you buy it?
@fauxrock
@fauxrock Год назад
My Hydro seal is proprietary and only offered to people who purchase my training. There are a lot of companies to make Hydro seal products on the market. You just have to do a little digging to locate some near you.

@fauxrock
@fauxrock Год назад
Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate you watching my video. It’s funny that you likened my rock to the moon landing. As I did a project that we made eight big rocks for NASA's Curiosity Mars Science Laboratory for the Mars rover Landing in 2012. We made 8 large rock for their national tour. These rocks, Ralston meet out of cardboard in the lightweight due to my high strength. Fiber reinforced cement mix.
