😥 This is not at all alright, not one bit. This is very sad and unfortunate that there is so much negative action based on faulty beliefs. Ideological is what this is. This is about unseen and invisible powers in the cosmic/celestial realm within and without Us all. We all can make a difference towards making Our world a safer, more secure and peaceful, place. We can do this by spreading awareness and compassion/empathy like You are doing here aswell as “"being" the change We all want to see in the world”, like Mahatma Gandhi famously said, which You are doing too. 🩵🌬️🤍🔥⚫🌊🩵

I would simply build a larger sukkah for them as additional ushpizim. Then again, I would include Hhokhamim of Karaite Judaism, Samaritan Isralites, Pashtoon, Beta Yisrael. The unity of our People matters to me. This is then reflected in "learning (without always automatically agreeing) from our brethren", as the great Karaite Hhakham Ya'aqov Kirkesani , z"l / Shalom 'alaw, once stated. I include even those who are not (fully) appreciated in their own Ashkenasi split-off groupings (Reform and radically liberalized "Conservative" (not the better Conservadox)), such as Martin Buber and R' Heshel. Of course, never to be venerated but their memory and Torah-loyal teachings to be immensely appreciated.
The Rabbi and Rabbi Wife Elishvea are wonderful people in serving the Jewish communities in India and also spreading the Knowledge of One's of Hashem to the Noahide communities as well. May the God of Israel Bless their service in bringing all the children of God into the Light.

Thank you for this! So I have never heard a rabbi talk about this issue. I personally refuse to hang gedolim pictures in my home or sukkah. It has never sat right with me. The Torah warns us over and over again about idolatry. I am not saying that gedolim pictures are idolatry, but it is easy enough for me not to partake. The few times that I've spoken about my stance to fellow Jews, they sort of bristled at me that I was being extreme. So it is nice to discover that I am not the only Jew that feels this way!
