Hello. I’m a female biker from Yorkshire, the wrong side of 50, working on growing old fairly disgracefully. Various operations and multiple health issues mean I’m constantly working through the pain barrier, but hey, life’s short so keep riding. I hope you enjoy the videos, or at least have a laugh at my expense.
who was that bloke wondering round looking simple with 2 flasks in his hand, I heard him muttering summat about which one was his, he seemed confused, hope someone was looking after him
Got one as well in Thailand and it's perfect for a mix of city traffic and exploring around type of ridding. The only downside for me is how short 1st gear is and the overall lack of power in 1st/2nd but maybe I am just too impatient and to be fair it's also what makes it easy to manoeuvre at slow speed so yeah it is what it is. Overall I am really happy with it too ^ ^
Hey, we get scrotes in Cumbria too. Usually delivery drivers, and tossin' young farmers with face-glued mobile phones and lane straddling leviathon tractors. Worse in haylage time when they're working around the clock to beat the next rains.
Still got my jacket from my early 20s, tho the metal teeth are coming off the zips. You'd be better off shoulder hauling timber and lobbing walling stone for a couple of weeks to get back into fettle, than faffing with yoga. When I've finished my first guest build on my land, you're welcome to ride over for a reccie of our fell and lakes lanes. I'm only in Cumbria.
Great to see so many smaller bikes out. I'm still feeling my way as a returner, on my RE Classic350. But our Cumbrian lanes are rank with gravel so I'm thinking of swapping out the Ceat road tyres for some hybrids. 'Tis good to see lasses riding rather than just pillions. We may cross paths on the fells yet.
@@freewheelingblonde Oh, they'll not be discarded, as they ARE good. But having my arse end skitter because of all the marbles, has dinted the enjoyment of my rides, so light nobblies seems to be a safer option around here.
:) Great upload. I cant look at a side car outfit without thinking of Arthur and Olive from on the buses. you both need to do a recreation please :) Happy Adventuring en France
Hi I am a 56 and saw the Madras Regiment museum in your vlog. My late father was commissioned in the 4th battalion of the Madras Regiment way back in 1961. The regimental center of the Madras Regiment is in a small town called Wellington in Tamil Nadu.
still chuckling at your French pronunciation. "ou est t'chat. t'chat est dans t'labre" Not many grassy bogs in the Himalayas Carla :) You going into clothing reviews now too? Lots more stone circles/sacred sites please. Safe travels. Maybe paint an arrow pointing right on your screen luv :) but im sure you wont be deviating from the correct side of the road again, lesson learnt. Your not the first, wont be the last.
Haha…don’t forget le Sange! He’s still dans t l’Abre…been up there bloody years 😂 So many sites and stones, you’d absolutely love it here as well! Can’t go wrong with Altbergs 😜
I rode across Brittany on my royal Enfield 500 classic which worked very well, I had canned heat going up country in my head ,it's wonderful over there.
No farm track has right of way over a metalled road. At a PàD junction only traffic coming from your right has the right of way over you, I don’t understand what you meant by they both have right of way. Both?
you have to take into account what the lady in question has been through and suffered and what mark it has left on her, its not the right bike for her at this point as I have watched her struggle with it, regardless of that I have had the same bike in the form of a 2022 CB500X which I had stolen last year, I didn't replace it as it had no character and was bland, yes it did most things really well but for me it had no soul
What are the tyres on your bike? The OE Dunlop Trailmax tyres that came on my 500X were brilliant on French back roads. I’m sure of that because that’s where it spends most of its time. They were also surprisingly good on gravel tracks and other loose surfaces. On good tarmac they are faultless. In 24,000 km of riding, a lot of it fairly quickly I can’t think of one occasion when the tyres have slipped on tarmac, not even in the wet. Ar3 you sure that this isn’t simply a case of a poor workman… If you’re talking about sliding on loose gravel on tarmac that’s definitely rider error, no tyre can compensate for that.
I think it’s the tyres, I’ve rode rural Brittany on various other bikes and they were fine. I’ve also rode the Himalayas and high mountain passes so I’m a reasonably experienced off road rider but no expert though. They are Dunlop tyres, not sure of the type.
Might be a silly question but are you running the stock Dunlop tyres at the correct pressures? I have them on my CB500X & have to say they are brilliant.
Not been watching this channel long but i must say i like how down to earth you are. Your not got summat stuck up your ass, apart from a bike lol. Brittany does look lovely. Hope you have a lovely time.
i see the Rocky Theme is now a theme lol oh and the Levellers..and Greenday! lol What tyres are they on the NX as standard? Dont be to hasty getting rid of the NX...
but you still felt the urge to leave a comment even though the content is mentioned in the description?...erm...ok...small suggestion, dont click on play? And in future searches please remember to include "absolutely no use of common terms engrained in language itself from the dawn of the spoken word" (if you use quotation marks it should save you from heathen mutterings)
You should of left a Blue Plaque on that Hill, "Welcome to F**k f*^k f**k Hill" Great Video. The NX will come into its own, just not on that track lol Looking forward to France. Safe Travels luv :)
'Ark at you dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st Century! Thats a great camera, audio is great too. I see you had the mic on waffle setting. Why do you have the Rocky Theme as an ear worm? lol Joking aside keep the vids coming, your getting the knack now. Look forward to more content soon.
Excellent channel. Very informative. I passed my bike test in 1981 and haven’t had a bike since 84! At the grand old age of 60 i seem to have gotten back the bug! I am looking at a Royal Enfield 350 classic, just purely for commuting and enjoyment, happy to plod along not bothered about fast speeds. Any views on the Enfields? I saw that you once had the Himalayan. Many Thanks Stu
Thanks very much..wow! That’s a long time bikeless, also passed my test in 82…the bug never leaves you though, glad it’s back for you..I had the Himmy for 2 years, great bike, rode around 16 countries also had an electra bullet did the North Coast 500 on that so yes I like Royal Enfields a lot! I liked the classic but for me it was slightly too heavy but a great bike especially riding in India 😊
I bumped into you a few weeks or so back at Craigs Honda,Shipley. You were heading out on their NX500 demo bike for a 3 hour stint. Obviously it must have gone very well as clearly you bought one. I was looking at the outgoing CB500X as the last few in the showroom were very heavily discounted for clearance reasons. I decided to save myself £800 & ordered a CB 500X,the money saved will go on plenty of accessories for it,enjoy your New ride & looking forwards to watching your adventures on the NX.
@@freewheelingblonde I’m raking up the running in miles now & not far to go for the first service, the CB500x an absolute pleasure to ride around the back lanes as it’s very light & Manoeuverable with just enough grunt. Weight and handling wise Compared to my outgoing Honda NC750X DCT there is no comparison, I did a lovely run over the moors to Pateley Bridge today with my pal John, I can recommend the little cafe on the Main Street. Keep the videos coming 😎
