Canny little video, glad you like the NX500, CB500X rider here, love mine to bits, does everything i want and the fuel tank range is huuuuuge! Keep the videos coming 🙂
Great to see so many smaller bikes out. I'm still feeling my way as a returner, on my RE Classic350. But our Cumbrian lanes are rank with gravel so I'm thinking of swapping out the Ceat road tyres for some hybrids. 'Tis good to see lasses riding rather than just pillions. We may cross paths on the fells yet.
@@freewheelingblonde Oh, they'll not be discarded, as they ARE good. But having my arse end skitter because of all the marbles, has dinted the enjoyment of my rides, so light nobblies seems to be a safer option around here.
getting better and better, great Vid, nice tune Jez !! So overall the review may as well of been from that character from The Fast Show...BRILLIANT!!!!!
Got one as well in Thailand and it's perfect for a mix of city traffic and exploring around type of ridding. The only downside for me is how short 1st gear is and the overall lack of power in 1st/2nd but maybe I am just too impatient and to be fair it's also what makes it easy to manoeuvre at slow speed so yeah it is what it is. Overall I am really happy with it too ^ ^
I think you made a good choice for a solo rider - fast enough, comfy enough, good economy & tank range, reliable, will handle a bit of off road as & when. Add handguards & hotgrips & off you go...
I bumped into you a few weeks or so back at Craigs Honda,Shipley. You were heading out on their NX500 demo bike for a 3 hour stint. Obviously it must have gone very well as clearly you bought one. I was looking at the outgoing CB500X as the last few in the showroom were very heavily discounted for clearance reasons. I decided to save myself £800 & ordered a CB 500X,the money saved will go on plenty of accessories for it,enjoy your New ride & looking forwards to watching your adventures on the NX.
@@freewheelingblonde I’m raking up the running in miles now & not far to go for the first service, the CB500x an absolute pleasure to ride around the back lanes as it’s very light & Manoeuverable with just enough grunt. Weight and handling wise Compared to my outgoing Honda NC750X DCT there is no comparison, I did a lovely run over the moors to Pateley Bridge today with my pal John, I can recommend the little cafe on the Main Street. Keep the videos coming 😎
Barkbusters hand guards is a must,Find skid plate that protect the exhaust headers too…Centre stand is an option…If you always ride offroad then invest in headlight and radiator guards.Rear aluminium top box..45L better
Enjoy the 500. I’ve had a 500X since late 2921 and love it. It’s a better touring bike for the sort of touring that I do than the bigger more powerful bikes that I owned before. It takes me and my camping gear all over Europe on all sorts of roads. That last bit is a lie, it never goes on motorways because I hate them, they’re not a natural environment for a motorcycle. I enjoy ever kilometre that I ride then there’s the economy… that’s enough to make anyone smile. Enjoy.
Potential for some more good videos to come and great to see a mature lady biker posting on YT. Bike looks great , was nearly my choice when they added the colour dashboard but have gone for the Voge DS525X in the blue/silver , delivery next month. PS. you need to upgrade that camera though , very blurry. Take a look at the Osmo Action 4 , just got one and it's brilliant. Stay safe and enjoy that new bike.
Cheers, I looked at the voge as well, nice bike, yeh, just getting to grips with filming etc, will upgrade as I get better …it’s all a learning curve for me, as a mature lady anti techy! 😜
I rode a DS525X last October while my 500X was having a new rear tyre fitted. It was really impressive, good to ride, well equipped and a bargain price. Enjoy. Luckily on the hour’s ride home I decided that I preferred riding my Honda. Given that the Voge only had 4km on the clock when I left the dealers it wasn’t a fair comparison. I do have a Voge, I bought a 300 Rally in early November. I love it.
Excellent channel. Very informative. I passed my bike test in 1981 and haven’t had a bike since 84! At the grand old age of 60 i seem to have gotten back the bug! I am looking at a Royal Enfield 350 classic, just purely for commuting and enjoyment, happy to plod along not bothered about fast speeds. Any views on the Enfields? I saw that you once had the Himalayan. Many Thanks Stu
Thanks very much..wow! That’s a long time bikeless, also passed my test in 82…the bug never leaves you though, glad it’s back for you..I had the Himmy for 2 years, great bike, rode around 16 countries also had an electra bullet did the North Coast 500 on that so yes I like Royal Enfields a lot! I liked the classic but for me it was slightly too heavy but a great bike especially riding in India 😊
Went to Seaways same day but earlier.....pity I didn't bump into you to teach you how to spell Lynyrd Skynyrd 😂 Pity about you Dalby footage it's a beautiful place and free for bikers , often sat in the trees there digesting my Fish & Chips from Thornton-Le-Dale ! I've subbed , you look like a giggle , good luck with the channel 👍🏻
@@freewheelingblondethanks - in the end I was advised to call it a CB500X by Honda themselves then no issue LOL. Apparently that's what on the order pink slip anyway haha. Thanks😍
Nice one S. One for us dinosaur bikers lol..... Do you have to pay..... No its free lol... Good to hear the bike is a pleasure for you to ride......Cheers Tony
