Hey, Joe here and thanks for checking out my videos. This isn't a "How To" channel, rather a channel of just a regular guy who likes to work on projects and uses RU-vid to learn from other users who have tackled the same jobs. Everything from Motorcycles, Jeeps, cars, and building/fixing things around the house. So I usually post videos of things I do relating to those types of topics. If it helps you, great! If not, that's cool too. Hopefully these videos will inspire people to try things that maybe have been intimated to try before. I know I get inspired watching videos of people doing their own work and showing that with a little help from others, and sometimes just seeing how it's done, you can pretty much fix anything!
I already have a Perun Moto rear rack with hole patterns for mounting a Givi top case. What I need are the mushroom buttons, the rubber cushions, and the pyramid latch that come on the Givi rack. Does Givi sell a kit with just those parts?
There are a couple of issues I am facing 1) The screen keeps switching to the main screen while I am using Android AUTO 2) The screen doesn't turn off when I use the kill switch to turn off but it restarts when I use it to turn on the engine. Did you face similar issues?
Hmm. That's odd. No I haven't experienced those issues. I actually like the device and works well. I just wish the camera recording quality was better quality and better stabilization.
LOL. Maybe I got lucky. The hard part for me was I kept putting the wheels on the wrong side!! But yes it is heavy too. I was 52 at the time of building it. So yeah, each year things seem heavier and heavier!
@@Mudslidex1 The bolts were awkward at the wheels ,difficult to get the spanner in . Remind myself never to give away a full set of ‘ spare spanner’s ’ as I definitely needed the one I didn’t have 🤣🤪🤪. Believe you me , I’m bloody aching now . But defo worth the purchase 👌
My wife and I are looking for some new headsets. We currently use the Cardo Pack Talk Bold, but we are starting to have some issues with them like diminished distance (we cannot be more than 500 yards from one another) and they mic sometimes shut off for no reason. New ones are just getting too expensive, so we are looking for a cheaper alternative. We don't use ear plugs and we are concerned about the tinny sound. The Cardos have great sound and we would like something with a similar sound. Any ideas? I have a Shoei Neotec and my wife has a HJC RPFA 90. We definitely want noise cancelling.
It's tough because I find Cardo to have the best sound quality (but at a cost). The others I find all to be on the tinny side, but for me with earplugs that fixes it. The Fodsports M1SPro has very good sound quality if you opt for the upgraded speakers. Great in depth review, thank you for the information, ordered 4 of them to replace the bluetooth based units i and my friends have, each time we are going to ride we fail to pair our intercoms or they aren't compatible with each other or pairing 3 intercoms is impossible, so the mesh connection intercoms should fix that
I really dont need to look and wait for you to unpack and start learning how it works. And its a GPS for bikes, not interested in watching movies, music or anything else but the Maps.! Are they preloaded, can it be used without draining the phone battery or phone itself? Is for USA only or Europe maybe? And how. Poorly review. I stopped watching after only a few minutes. Do something else with your time and stop wasting ours.
Make sure the bike is not running when trying to reset the service interval. It won't be there as an option. Im not sure why it wont let you register the bike, but if you reach out to the developer of the app or go to the TuneECU forums, there's lots of help there to help troubleshoot
I done my 1st two lens replacement in a row. Here are what I learned: [I DID NOT REMOVE ANY PART AND DID EVERYTHING FULLY ASSEMBLED(WITHOUT BATTERY) I DID NOT USE GLUE]] 1. Use a Dremel(Small handheld cutting disk) and make a cross in the middle. Eventually it will crack and make an opening. As soon as its open make sure to tap the oposite side with your hand to have the pieces of glass come out so when you use the cutting disk again the vibration with broken glass wont scratch the inner lens. 2. When the middle is open use a small watche flat scewdriver to pry out the 4 big piece but be carefull of the plastic ring around the lens. You have to be gentle and not pull them up straight up but at an angle. 3. Use a can of air duster and clean the inside with the air only. 4. Make sure there is no uneven piece on the border left by the lens or glue. 5. Look at the inner lens with a light and use the reflection of the light to see if there is any residue or smudge. If there is use a Q-tips with 90% rubbing alcohol and use the compress air again. [Install of New Lens] 6. Push the lens in. My first one went easy and clipped when in place. The second one was stuck on the retaining lid but I used a towel and a table and push the lens in using the table as a lever. The towel/cloth protects the lens so you can force it in. Result both were installed living no marks on the cameras and no differences between the original lens and the replaced one. No glare, dust or imperfection.
@@Mudslidex1 Thank you for the video. I had 2 cameras with a scratched lens on each. I'ts been more than a year that I have the new lens but didnt have the confidence to try the repairs. After watching your video I finally tried and came with my reply. Have a Great Day.
@@msm083 I'm wouldn't bother unless you're going to re-tune the bike with TuneECU for the new equipment. It probably won't take advantage of performance air filter unless the ECU is programmed correctly to take advantage of it. But I do know that just retuning the bike with another mapping WITHOUT installing any additional part, "wakes" the bike up. So you can get more performance with just a new ECU mapping
Ive owned a few vintage trumpets..and i just find the ride boring. And the vibration....but i loved the sound sig of the big twins. But i want a sporty modern bike but not the riding position. So im loving the trident over any of the twins.
I can do without the vibrations. I had a 22 Triumph Tiger 900GT as well and as much as I loved the bike, it did get a little "buzzy" on longer trips. Cruise control helped with the hand numbness on long rides. But I know have a 2018 Harley Lowrider which I LOVE. But... I still do love Triumphs and would like to have another Triumph in the stable. Trident is an excellent choice!
Just seeing this video now as my switch went bad and needs changed out. When changing does it matter the order of black and white wires? Realize line from wall goes on bottom and to motor on top set but does it matter which left or right post the white or black go? Thx
I just received my XGP today. I tested it thoroughly. There’s an EQ adjustment in the iPhone settings-EQ for Apple Music. I set it to treble reducer which lowers highs and boosts up mids. I would have wished that XGP would offer to reverse the previous/next button combination so that the next would correspond to the button that we can easily refer to as front, and the previous button to be defined as the rear button on the XGP I wish it would be compatible with JBL 45mm that’s designed for Cardo, but available as an accessory package. I would have bought that package which I’m sure would have rendered a much better sound quality.
No. You would need tools to take it off. It doesn't have something like a quick release that lets it pop off. Which is good because you don't want somebody to be able to just walk buy and pop it off easily and take it
@@Mudslidex1 amazing how many options there are in the market currently. I remember a few years ago when it was only sena and cardo and neither worked well. It is good to have some competition.
Yes it all works well, except when I use a navigation app (android auto) the street names on the Chigee screen are so small, you just can't read them and I can't find a way to enlarge them.
Don't by any means buy it...they are lying in almost everything. Firstly, it isn't android 13 it is android 10 (fake 13), secondly android auto is incompatible with many mobile phones (far too many from the one that they mention). I have a Poco F2 Pro (Xiaomi) and it has great issues working with Podofo A3526. For example when you receive a call it throws you back at the home screen and you can't see neither who is calling nor take the call. For an unknown reason it deleted all my contacts (almost every time I used it and had to recover them from the recycle bin) and also you must be of (great) lack to achieve connection with a bluetooth headset. It is very slow, and in some cases almost no responsive (lag). After barely 6 months of own ship, GPS stopped all of the sudden receiving any signal. Keep in mind that I keep my motorcycle in a garage and I live in a Mediterranean country where cold and rain are very mild. At the begging I thought it was the antenna so I bought a new GPS antenna but with no lack. When I contact the e-shop (I bought it frοm their official AliExpress store "Podofo Russian Factory") to report the problem I was facing with the GPS and to ask for their help, apart that it is extremely difficult to communicate with this people in English language (probably they depend exclusively on google translate), they didn't accept to fix it or replace it although the warranty was still active (1 year). AliExpress that I communicated to report the shop's attitude (and at least their lack of professionalism) I got the following answer: "We are sorry to inform you that since the buyer protection has been already, you do not have the option to open a dispute to this item and the payment has been release to the seller." If you want my opinion look elsewhere or else you will cry your hard earned money as I do with mine 140 euros...
This reviewer and a number of commenters have talked about the volume not being high enough. This system and speakers provide ample volume. Low speaker volume will be an installation issue. I have been using a Fodsports MS1-Plus for over two years and found the speakers are loud but very directional. They have to be installed so that they are not just over the ears, but centred on your ear canals, or they will sound very quiet. Other than that, they pair to BT devices easily, hold their pairings, the FM radio is great, and the battery life is fantastic, as is the price! As for the slimline USB-C socket, it is mentioned in the documentation, but you can trim plugs on cables other than the Fodsports one supplied. The reason it is slim is to provide a waterproof connection when the speaker/mic is connected, as they have a specific size connector to match the weather sealed socket. General USB-C cables have a range of plug sizes, depending on what the cable manufacturer thinks, and some dont even fit through the holes in cellphone cases.
Those are excellent points and thanks for bringing them up. Yes volume is definitely going to be determined by placement as well as helmet type and their cutouts for speakers etc.. Also your helmets aerodynamics will play a big role in noise in your helmet. Lots of different variables in play that can affect the sound quality. But I agree, for the price, it is packed with features and a very good headset
I can't give you an accurate answer as I don't have a Freecom headset to test with. But the Edge was definitely one of the top as far as audio output. Most brands also come with spacers to use as backers so that you can get the speakers even close to your ears. Which helps cut down wind noise and makes them louder as they are placed closer to your ears

The first couple of times I did it, it took some trial and error. After, you learn your tub and now I can get it going within a minute after a refill. Watch for any bubbles coming from jet and shoot water in there. Also put the hose down the main intake (where the filter is). That helps force water through. I also found sometimes if you open the drain valve while running the tub, it will also help get the water moving as it give the water another path to flow and push out air
Mine did that a couple of times. Does it happen when slowing down and you pull in the clutch? I've heard others have that issue to. It doesnt happen a lot. But every now and then if I'm slowing down and not going fast (Say around 20 mph) and then I'm braking for a stop sign or something and I pull in the clutch, it cuts power. Like I said, it doesn't happen a lot. But every once in a while, but not enough for me to bring it into the shop. Good luck with yours, hope its just an ECU update or something
Mother in laws is acting up just over a year old (1year warranty of course 🫤). Similar symptoms with power supply, but I didn’t think to unplug the switch! I’ll have to check that next time I go over there! Will update in future if you like.
Hi! I saw your interesting videos and I have a question please. I have the Lexin GTX installed on my helmet and paired with my phone. It works properly and nicely. Now, I want to buy another helmet for my wife and another LexinGTX to be installed on it. Would the pairing among helmet 1, helmet 2, and my phone be easy? Should I unpair my helmet from my phone fist in order to pair the two helmets? I look forward to receiving your assistance on this matter. Thanks a lot!
Good question. I always found unpairing from my phone first worked best. As sometimes it has problems if you're already pre-paired. You can try it first, but if it doesn't work. Un-pair it from the phone. After that you should be able to pair the 2 helmets and then after that, pair back to the phone.
