I had a 1960 Catalina automatic skip Hollandsworth with a 421 and I would beat 396 Chevelle's. Sounds like the Chevy was a little souped up.

If the poncho had a 421 the Chevy probably had a 396. Hard to believe the 396 could be to 421 except for the weight difference.

I love the early 60's Pontiacs. I had a 63 Bonneville convertible, but I realized it was gonna take more money and experience than what I had to get it where it needed to be, so I ended up selling it.

I used to own a 62 Catalina,it wasn't a 421sd just a 389cu"regular Catalina.I still loved the car for it's style, black on red and it was one of my favorite cars.

I love the pre-muscle car Pontiacs. And I love that color on those Pontiacs. I had a relative that had a ‘64 Lemans with a 326 and a 4 speed. It was that color. I loved that car. It sounded a lot like this car. But that ‘64 was my introduction to early pre-65 Pontiacs.
