After our last commentary/conversation I read "base raid" and I was like "OH NO"... !! Then saw it was the foul smell, and thought, hm, could be worse! I think the timing was definetly bad on that one (for you), and I would certainly prioritise building defences first but you made mincemeat of most of the swamp citizens. I just dived into the swamp (this is like my 5th playthrough or something) and built a base there, not doing it the hard grind way so I've stuck a stonking big wall around mine. It won't keep out everything of course but the draugrs and skellies will stay gone :D Enjoy the bog witch when it comes out - am hoping it will hit the main branch before Halloween!
Hi, cool list of mods, I would also recommend the Equipment & Quickslots mod, which gives you 4 extra slots for armor and 3 for fast access to potions i.e. the armor slots are amazing since you dont have to waste 4 inventory spaces just for your equipment.
It's a bit late to tell you this, but, um. no. killing the elder alone doesn't activate the ground is shaking events - only killing the elder AND killing a troll does that. But you know for next time - unless they change the rules anyway! Thoroughly enjoying your play through and I like your build, looking forward to following you up to Ashlands... :)

@@JoePrimeYT really hope your lovely build makes it through! it can be quite devastating in a way that I'm not quite sure the game devs get. I remember following someone else who had raised some boars and had his first little baby piggies that he was cooing over when he got his first ground is shaking event. Bye Bye Piggies. :( not fun - if memory serves me right he never tamed boars again, which is understandable. Wolves, Lox and Askevein can handle themselves a bit better, at least!
AzuCraftyBoxes is superior to CraftFromContainers, imho. I have had a hard time using devcommands with CFC, and no trouble at all with devcommands while using ACB. Otherwise great video. My Little UI is one that's flown under my radar until now, and seems very promising.
One thing I noted. Those partial/ruined cabins, you could at least take them apart and take the wood with you for using later. The larger one would have made a better start, even if you'd have needed to roof it. Just take the wood from the broken down structures and your set. There are also enough saplings floating about if you have an aversion to cutting down a while tree. Not sure why that's an issue.
Enjoyed the longer build video, please keep adding them. House looks great. Like the idea of the smelters being feed thru a gap in the wall. Gonna steal that idea!
Nice list of QOL mods! I use most of them on my server and have a few more to recommend: Instant Monster Drops - no waiting for enemies to drop loot. Repair All - one-click repair for all gear at workstations. Quick Stack - auto-sorts loot into containers. Equipment & Quick Slots - extra slots for armor/food, plus hotkeys for quick access to potions/food.
Solid suggestions. 👍 I've considered adding instant loot to my game, but still on the fence for it because sometimes getting swarmed by wolves/etc and the struggle of wanting loot but needing to clear a safe space first can be stressful fun 😅
Personally I had multiple issues with getting V+ to work and it changes a lot of stuff I wasn't particularly interested in, so it was better to just pick specific mods in my case. But V+ is a great overhaul mod option. 👍
@@JoePrimeYT could you elaborate on the changes that you didnt like? because I was very interested in V+. Im about to start a new playthrough and I wanted it to be modded but not to the point where its game breaking
That was my main goal when picking these mods, I'd play for a while, find something that became just a little too "annoying" and try to find a simple mod that enhanced that aspect. While not breaking the lore or basic gameplay mechanics, just improving on them. 👍
I was wondering why your house looks so familiar; you're using Crate of Bananas' house design lol. I love that house, I got back into Valheim again just so I could build it. I still gotta defeat the 4th boss, but I can't wait to fully build out the factory and workstations for the house.
I dunno know if this is "WHAT? I didn't know that" or "WHAT? I can't find this" tbh lol. But this bonfire was removed in Scholar of the First Sin, so if you can't find it... that's probably why. 😜
Funny story actually, I didn't forget it, but I stopped there so shortly that when editing out the loading screens I deleted the whole bonfire stop. 😅 Oh well, this many years later the original recording is long gone so it's just a failure forever. 😝
