I would also like to add to the Rievers and also give their knifes sustain hits 2. To be a blender. They're terror troops that not even guard are afraid of....it's quite sad....
@@BlackJackalGaming I personally run UM with Calgar and Blade Driven Deep just because I like the sneaky/tricky playstyle and don't care what faction I use to do it. Do you do the same or are you Raven Guard or nothing?
My advice on top of this is to bring a clock. Once you start playing strategically in warhammer your creating problems for your opponent to resolve or weighing up difficult decisions. If you don't clock them then they will use an hour an a half in their turn, solve the problem and leave you without time to complete the game and infact penalise you for playing well.
I jumped in when 10th released, although I do miss the crisis cib death stars I never tried myself (as long as you don't mind legends, 200 now ) I don't like how you had to roll for marker lights like shooting, so I world say more lateral changes than vertical
If I wanted to make a firstborn army (my own reasoning) that has transport tanks above rhino is the razorback worth it or should I just use the Land Raider?
Starting to get into 40k. I love the chaos marines. Slaanesh reminds me of Slan from berserk (in more than just name) Is there a good way to blend them saying the emperors children don't have sets?
well you could go crazy with two 10 man Hellblasters squads. One with Azrael and a Lieutenant and one with a Lieutenant with fire discipline. So both squads have lethal and sustained hit, one criting on 5+ and the other is far more tanky.
Before I watch the video: THEY ARE AMAZING! Basic background - Deepstrike built in for free - 6" scout move - Can ignore all vertical distances for movement - Can force battleshock tests at -1 - Not a bad price point - Good looking models - Have the right keyword under Phobos Tactics: Amazing units to hold in reserves, can enter board via deepstrike or rapid ingress IF your also playing the best detachment, Vanguard, they can now also 'uppie downie" - Deploy on board, scout 6" and help for objectives - Uppie downie for 1 CP - Come back in deepstrike next turn positioned for MOAR Points scoring They are great! Now to watch the video and see what you guys think!
Las Fusil Eliminators have been very good with this so far for me. I'm going to try and use Repulsor Executioners and Gladiator Lancers with this detachment as their laser destroyers have the Heavy keyword. I have tried Eradicators but with their short range they can't really make use of the ability. They have to keep moving just have something in range to shoot.
A friend uses this unit in vanguard spearhead detachment. -1 to hit them and 4+ invul makes them hard to kill, while they are deleting marines without effort. There was one case when they took down a knight in a single turn 😅 You can counter them with throwing stuff at them from more then 24" so they won't shoot back in death, or make sure your whole squad can only see one model from the unit - you cook them but only that one can shoot back. Also make sure there are no other units are in their threat range while you kill them, they can shoot at any valid target when they die
Honestly, its not really worth adding in bolter discpline into the squad. You'd get more bang for buck putting it on another squad, say 10 MORE hellblasters! Otherwise, you make them a massive target, and losing them stings hard. The real combo is this in Inner Circle Taskforce, because azzy gives them rhe deathwing keyword and the +1 to wound
for the record, i believe it is perfectly legal to field the sergent with BOTH heavy pistol and plasma pistol, aswell as a powerfist, allowing you to shoot both pistols in a single shooting phase
Maybe it should be. But the rules say it has a bolt pistol, a plasma incinerator and a knife. The bolt pistol can be changed to a plasma pistol. And that's all currently what is legal
Always take the Heavy Bolter in my opinion. 3 shots at damage 2 versus 2 shots at damage 1 for the Heavy Bolt Rifle. If you hit once with the Heavy Bolter you are doing as much damage as if you hit with both shots for the Heavy Bolt Rifle. The Heavy Bolt Rifle can do a max 6 points a damage versus the maximum 2 damage of the Heavy Bolt Rifle. Even with -1 to hit at 3 attacks with 2 damage you are till much better off.
Very nice video, I’d love to see more. learning warhammer can be hard for some so having a visual representation with software like this is perfect. Keep it up❤
Building a 500pt Imperial Fists Vanguard Spearhead list with 1 squad each of Aggressors, Heavy Intercessors, Eliminators and Incursors led by a Lieutenant in Phobos. This video helped me to narrow that down, I think it'll be a lot of fun to play. Incursors with the Phobos Lieutenant should be highly mobile and enough of a threat to allow the Heavies to maneuver while the Eliminators hold a flank. The Lieutenant taking Blade Driven Deep with the Incursors will give them both the Infiltrator and Scout keywords, could be interesting.
Who is joining Vulkan, Infernus in Impulsor can not be led by him. Cause he is no Tacticus model. And Impulsor only can carry Tacticus. Or I get sth wrong…?
Basically the way I recommend it is get to the objectives and then you're chillin' I put a biologist in charge of 6 aggressors. Stoic defender. So they get 6+ FNP, Lethal hits, and the biologist can potentially get oc 18 with rigid discipline. So I put them in a land raider crusader to get them to no man's land. Captain in Gavis leading 10 man heavt intercessors so you can clap back when shooting or being shot. A few more heavy intercessor squads for good measure. Some inceptors, scouts, jump pack assault intercessors, and infiltrators to focus on secondaries while I babysit objectives. And then i run eradicators Tor Garadon(the dude can single handedly pick up whole models) a vindicator and whatever else I may need depending on what army I'm fighting. Ridgid discipline, not one step back, and the strat that gives sustained hits are super useful
I have been trying three 10 man Heavy Intercessor bricks. They can move up to an objective and stay there. Las Fusil Eliminators are great. You can Infiltrate them at the start of the game and have them positioned along firing lines. I'm going to try the list with two Gladiator Lancers and one Repulsor Executioner with Laser Destroyers. See if I can snipe targets from across the map.
I would go with the "Forged in Battle" to B or even A class, as it is ruled "Once per turn" so you can use it after Re-Roll and still elevating that hit to Sustain/Lethal, and saving a model in enemy turn can easily monetize that 15 points back if you will save your for example terminator, eradicator or agressor. Since it is after roll :) It is not "powerful" but it is consistent... Anyway, splendid one as allways... Thanks!
@TheMuaddibdune if you look at the wording of the enhancement. They removed the unmodified part of it and the rule of sustained and lethal says the 6 has to be unmodified.
All these tactics and no ones talking about using a drop pod with 10 infernus marines just popping out. Sure there isnt space for a character to be attached but you cannot deny the absolute onslaught of the drop pod landing 9" away and 10 infernus marines raining hellfire. I have 1 drop pod and 20 infernus marines, will at some point get a second drop pod. Stupid cheap at 70pts.
@BlackJackalGaming if you get the first turn it's wherever you want. I'll put mine either directly on one objective or will block an avenue for my opponent to get to that objective with it. If I go second there's plenty of spaces to put for a counter or even drop in their back field if they've bum rushed their whole roster. The drop pod is able to drop in the first turn from deepnstrike. Load it up with 10 infernus marines either in cover next to the drop pod or obscured line of sight if I can't get a shot off when they disembark.
After the buff this passing dataslate, we definitely could recreate this combo using ictf to aggressively bonk stuff on obj and in Firestorm delivered by land raider into 6" range for +1 to wound.
