Something else that can "kinda" work is if you select the whole model, then go to mesh->Normals->Average->Face. This uses a different algorithm to calculate the normals and can often sort out a lot of shading issues on this type of model. But the results you get will depend on how you create your models topography, since I am generally making things for games for a car I tend to avoid subdivsurf to (try to at least xD) keep the polygon counts lower. But the way you showed in the video is pretty cool and not something I have seen before so thanks for sharing :)
Wow, that's a really interesting way to look at 3D objects. I think that for many, including myself this workflow is a bit counterintuitive for complex models, but like you said, it's certainly useful for a specific niche.
The tutorial went so good until 11:30 after that time there is a shitty jump cut and there are 2 different math nodes I couldn't see the connections and also color ramp changed as map range which no explanation about that. Sorry for the time I spent.
can u please make it in English or put English subtitles with all the buttons/controls and settings you apply so that it is easier to understand , would be great help and please keep making detailed tutorial like this really helpful .
Great tut and project file. I bought it a couple of days a go, but have over written the file. wondered if you could resen please. I can send you the email addy that i bought it with. cheers
Actually, a shameless youtuber stole my video and made an awful A.I voice over, look for 'forest tutorial blender' and look for the same thumbnail as my french tutorial
amazing, only problem i have is that trees come out perpendicular to the ground where in real life they would always point straight up. Would be 10/10 if the trees were fixed
Unfortunately this asset works only for 3.3 for now, one fix I found is to apply the geometry nodes for the trees or replace the trees in 3.4+ which is a rather easy fix. I might work on the asset in the next few weeks but time is hard to get these days haha
@@workflowproject Cool thank for the quick reply, do you think replacing trees with the addon Alpha Trees from Blender market can do the trick ? (the trees are not models just flat planes that rotate with the camera)
Merci for your video! Currently, I have problems to export my Cartoon brush. The model seems fine, but the Cartoon material is lost. Do you know how I could fix that?
Haha yess that's my thesis project as a transportation designer, wanted something to fit an automobilist's needs but in a sustainable way for dense urban areas, and also letting them adopt an active lifestyle
Hi :) I am interested in getting the scene to use as a base for an architecture project im working on, do you think it would be possible for me to turn the road into a path and not raised as much ?
That would need a bit of fiddling around but it may be possible, I'd recommend watching a tutorial and making it yourself to make sure you have controle over everything in the scene I recommend the trees from polygoniq , free version is enough by far for simple backgrounds 😁
I would love to buy, but is there a way to buy with other payment options like paypal or something else? Is it available on other websites? Also I do not have a big budget, is there a discount code? thanks:)
Salut !
This is so amazing! I totally agree I dont see many tutorials for creating customizable road landscapes like this this is exactly what I was trying to find salute to you my friend this is very commemorable work!
I have a question... When I render this, the tree trunks are visible, but none of the branches or leaves show up despite being visible in the viewport. I even tried it in the original unedited scene, after baking Dynamic Paint. Am I missing something? I'm using Blender 3.4.1, Cycles.
@@workflowproject Good morning. I recently purchased this product for use in my school project, and am currently experiencing the same problem as this user. Do you think you could help me out?
