Hello I have the same problem with my dvd player/recorder where it doesn’t work or come on so I open up the case and found that the voltage regulator gets very hot so I think it’s is bad my question is why is there no heat sink on this voltage regulator.
very thank you for the video!, if i can ASK.... i have 3 of these DRM units (PAL) and connecting them to a VCR to obtain a passthru signal (to use with a capture card) the levels of white are increased, and some light grey details are completely lost... do you think there is a way to reduce the "amplification" of the original signal? (looking at the service manual there is just as 100ohm resitor and a trasnsistor before the input pin of the main VIDEO chip)

Only found out just now, when I rung the hospital to check how he was. Really shocked, if not surprised. The lad had been really struggling for some time. I visited a couple of times since Christmas, always enjoyed our chats. A more genuine and generous person, I've yet to meet and a real character. The world is a poorer place without him. If anyone on here knows when and where any funeral will be for Steve, please post it here, as a comment as I'd like to attend if I can. We'll all miss him RIP, Steve. JohnW
Having heard nothing further about Funeral arrangements I messaged a close friend of Steve's who advised me that his Funeral and and subsequent cremation had already taken place and was something of a Private Event. I am sure I speak for many of Steve's subscribers who would have liked to pay respects in some shape or form Sadly this wasn't to be. R.IP. Steve 😞

...when I first met Mr. Bannister he kindly gave me his original Hornet's silencers ...and a compact Canon camera , which my mum keeps in her car now after being diddled by a BanglaBashandCRASH claim. I gave Paul a Biker's Gearbox suede waistcoat in return , which cost me £89.99 . I have a big and heavy thick good quality winter leather jacket if Paul would like it in return for the silencers - SIZE 56'' CHEST , long fitting. ...Paul phoned me this afternoon ....a very pleasant chat with a gentleman - but he thought I wanted the WAISTCOAT BACK !? NO mate - I have a few items for YOU to make up for the accident a bit more....the big jacket for next winter 56'' chest....a 5XL and / or a 4XL 'DUKE' denim jacket in blue or black for this Summer ...NEW / oldstock from Blackpool's Beach Market ''BIG MAN'S SHOP'' a while ago....but STILL LIKE NEW ! Duke is a brand made for us big lads ...John Wayne was known as Duke...well, I'm still 11 stone , down from 23 stone 18 months ago. The third item is a 6 pocket shoulder holster for bikers...the pockets all have zips on...and fit a phone / wallet / camera / credit card / house key/ loose change ...in ! 'ATLAS FOR MEN' bargain. You are welcome here anytime Paul ....I KNOW the crash was 95% MY fault....but those cars both stopped in a strange place didn't they , and my big back brake lever LOCKED UP my back wheel as I'd 'improved' it be epoxying a big bolt into the small lever then glued a kickstart rubber over it , to make a big 3 inch lever ...which makes it TWICE as powerful when activated by a boot.

It's great to look back on those videos on those Summer biking days when we can enjoy motorcycling at its best. W eve all had those moments of lack of concentration particularly after a long ride, and for the lucky ones have got away with it. Only takes a few seconds for circumstances to change, and as you describe a" cock up" to ensure. I had a very similar experience I didn't run into the back of anything but my brakes locked up I came off and the bike cartwheeled past me ending up being wrote off. Anyway all in all more positive biking memories than Negative. Life hands us some 'shite' bad cards sometimes health wise Steve,. As Ive seen first hand you are trying to make some progress with your health challenges, and you need to concentrate on getting yourself in a good place, appreciate its easy for me to say. THIS IS MY 'NEW' video, showing the CRASH in the Yorkshire Dales almost 4 years ago , due to me recently watching lots of tv about the Air Ambulance rescuing crashed bikers and saving lives - and re-writing my WILL last week to leave them about £65,000 if I don't survive my past 16 months of medical troubles which seemingly are getting WORSE EACH DAY....OR EVEN EACH HOUR. I wasn't injured at all in this crash apart from a swollen lower left leg the week after which was helped with bags of frozen peas and Ibuprofen , my 2nd 'at fault' one in 40 YEARS of biking , however I understand Mr. Bannister developed a variety of painful conditions over the following week as we all experience them a few days after a collision , which our system doesn't immediately feel straight after a crash due to our Adrenaline System releasing 'painkillers' naturally , or even due to severe shock as he was hit from behind by me .
