...to have a look at the Museum ....and the Ringo 'muriel' ! I went on the train , rather than the bike as I wanted to check out a few old pubs that The Beatles used to frequent !
....I should've been there yesterday......or 'Yesterday' ...!....as Paul McCartney was in town for the LIPA Graduation Ceremony again - for the first time since I did that video on July 25th 2019. Then again , he didn't sign owt then - and this time they'd moved the venue to somewhere at the docks near the Arena....so it would've been a bit of a waste of time going anyway. You'd think he'd do a few songs for them all - seeing as he's just done a month long USA tour then Glastonbury....and he's had a few weeks to rest his tonsils !
...no, for the past 40 years all my visits have been based on buying Beatles stuff ! My and a mate even got a Ferry Cross The Mersey ....but got off at the wrong stop and there was nothing there ....just a pub - so we had a few pints then went back. There doesn't seem to be any info about places of interest to visit as the tourism office I once knew about , closed down ....
@@StevesHornet900 it's worth a visit if you're in the area. They had old cars, trams and motorbikes when I went. It's in Birkenhead so only over the Mersey from Liverpool.
what a brilliant and informative video Steve I myself have never been to Liverpool I liked the old pre war photos and what is like now well done for a great vlog
...I was going to go in the other 3 museums but there wasn't time in one afternoon - you need 3 days or so to have a proper look round - Speke Hall dates from the 1400's and I'd planned on going there as it's near the Ringo pub .
...there's a lot more to the city than The Beatles ....but I didn't have time to go in the other 3 museums that I know about . Over the August Bank Holiday is a good time to go as the 5 day Beatles Convention is on and there are live bands performing everywhere ....and they usually do a mixture of other 60's group's hits as well as Beatles covers .
