Hi, my name is Dan Cantero and I'm a commercial photographer. This channel is dedicated to photography tutorials and for me to share all my knowledge about photography. If you want to know about cameras, lenses, tripods, and all sorts of other photography equipment and how to use it.... you've come to the right place.
This is an amazing video for those of us who don't know anything about photography! My little sister wants to become a photographer and has been talking about it for years now, so I decided to get her her first camera. I got a Sony Alpha a6100 for her birthday next week and I will present it to her exactly the way you did. I won't say "here's a beginner camera for you to play with", I'll present it to her as something she could start earning money from if she works hard enough. Thanks for this, needed it!
Hello many po te this video but I have the following situation with my camera a7c I have 3 different colors one of the monitor another in the camera and another in edge image why is this?
Ummm the question is how does it look on the camera screen. Every camera manufacturer provides specifications on how exactly to read the raw file data, there is no guesswork going on. While most differences i could explain with default progrm settings to be accidentaly off mark but higher detail from same file? and sudden skin smoothing? That is bloody deliberate. They willingly and knowingly „enhance” the image under the hood. My strong suspicion would be that the pictures on the camera screen will look more like lightroom result
This is much needed for all the up coming photograers. not knowing how to make money with all the gear that have bought, there isn't much out there to help us
@@DanCantero Thanks for checking. No, I use PS for editing. Lr would have worked if they had support for Pentax. At present I just don't tether, but if this software worked I would have found uses for it. I'm more annoyed at LR than anything else. The program you speak of here sounded like just what I was looking for, but no.
I recently brought a nikon z5 with 28 - 75 2.8 lens after few days it started getting fog and all pictures were coming foggy but when I brought the camera inside the house it used to go and all fog disappeared it happened everytime than I showed it to service center they told tht fog got trapped inside and they kept in dry cabinet after than I used it outdoors few times but I didn't noticed any fog but today I faced the same issue again when I went out it got fog but when I came back home fog went and I keep my camera in a air tight container with silica gels so now please tell me what I have to do will I need to buy the cabinet or what is the issue and permanently solution? Did anyone face the same please reply I am very worried it's only 1 month I brought the camera month.
I actually use C1 for my commercial shoots. I use Evoto for my heads shots because I edit them in Evoto and so the export from there so it makes sense for me. I only mentioned the cable because I’ve found it to be the number 1 culprit when troubleshooting. But, like I said in the video you can you any cable you have and see if it works.
Hi Richard. Unfortunately it does not. Although I am hopeful given that it is a pretty new product (in comparison to LR and C1) so we might see it in the future.
Hey Scott. Not at this time. It would be great if they came out as an app for an iPad. It's still a relatively new product when compared to LR and C1 so I wouldn't be surprised if we see that in the future. The only stable solution that I know of to shoot tethered to and iPad is to use Capture pilot (You still need capture 1 running on a laptop). I think you can also do it with a Camranger. I've also see one called Arsenal I think but don't really know much about it.

Hey Ray!. I bought it ages ago in the UK. Here is their site plasticsandwich.co.uk. It wan't cheap but has gotten me work so it was worth it in the end. Even after all these years, it still looks good.
C1 beats Lr hands down. Notably better. Also, the licensing and company practices are much more fair from Phase One than they are from @dobe. I transitioned to C1 years ago, and haven't looked back.
Hello. Most of the time when it doesn’t work it means you have a cable that is not compatible. Try a different cable and then also try plugging it into a difference USB port on your computer. Good luck!
@@DanCantero thanks for replying back to me I will check on that tomorrow my Canon is Rt6 and I even bought a USB adapter for my MacBook 💻 but I will try. Thanks again for your reply
Totally flawed and almost useless comparison. I'm a fan of both applications as they have their positives and negatives but the whole issue around interpretation via profiles in lightroom make is kinda worthless comparison.
Very helpful for anyone new to the principles of light and photography. The props help tremendously! I always have a polarizer with me “just in case”, as the use of a polarizer when you wouldn’t normally think of doing so is a fantastic tool for improving images.. subtly or dramatically.
In this video I am going to show you how you can use a polarizer filter to take your photography to the next level! A polarizer filter is essential for getting the most out of your photography. It allows you to get rid of all of the unwanted polarized light that can sometimes make your photographs dull and lifeless. In fact, a polarizer is one of the biggest secrets that professional photographers use to make their photographs stand out from others. By reducing glare and reflections from surfaces like water, glass, and even foliage, a polarizer can help you capture vibrant, richly colored images with deeper contrast. This is particularly useful for landscape photography, where managing reflections and enhancing the colors of the sky and foliage can dramatically improve your shots. In this video, I'll guide you through the science behind polarizers, how they work, and the best scenarios to use them. Whether you're shooting in bright sunlight, near reflective surfaces, or aiming to bring out the vivid blues in the sky, understanding how to use a polarizer effectively will transform your photography. Watch till the end for tips on choosing the right polarizer for your camera and how to properly adjust it to achieve the best results. I just bought another 5D MKII. I bought my first one last year. I had the budget to buy the R5, but didn't need all of that technology, or video capabilities. The only advantage mirrorless has over DSLR, is the great focusing system. That is the one thing a DSLR lacks, but there are ways around this limitation.
@@DanCantero I really like your opinion on most professionals don't upgrade their gear all the time . I think the 5D Mark II takes just as good of a picture as any Camera today. Plus you can't replace that DSLR viewfinder! I've been taking pictures since the 1980s so I'm not one of these people that needs everything electronic.
I am an amateur with a small online shop. When I first started, I had no idea how to take pictures for products, especially on a white background and I had no money to invest in cameras lenses, and lights....Now, I am a bit more experienced, I do have many studio lights, software, and studio devices, but for some reason, my old starter camera (a very simple Nikon, d3300), which was entry-level at that time, is still serving me well. I took almost 100k pictures with it. I have a few Nikorr lenses and I was waiting to buy a new camera. But because a few years ago mirrorless systems were not that good, I decided to just wait and see. Now I am still undecided. Also, I do not plan to pay more than 1.5 k Euro for a body camera. My small online business is not that demanding and the pictures I am making a good enough. I think that we must not always aim for the top of the lines, but instead buy something that is good enough for the job, not very expensive, and most of all reliable. My poor Nikon was never repaired, I just cleaned it a few times and this is it. Also, I see that phone cameras are better and better, and considering the job I need to do I do not think that I will even need an expensive camera. I also do not like small cameras. I used to have all kinds of Fuji, Olympus, and Panasonic....so, I prefer a medium size camera that fits well in my hand. Thank you for your video.
👍In today’s video I am going to try to answer a photography question that gets asked all the time. Which camera system is better? DSLR cameras or Mirrorless cameras. The truth is that both of these systems are more similar than people think. However, there are some very important differences that can make one camera system better than the other depending on what you want to use it for. In this video, I am going to give you a different perspective. I am going to give you my recommendation from a professional photographers point of view. The reason I’m doing this is because the features that are important to an enthusiast may not be as important to a professional photographer. So let’s dive into the differences between the two systems and see how it affects your photography. Hopefully, by the end of this video you’re going to know exactly what type of camera you need because we’re going to go through each component and discuss the differences that can make one system better than the other. I am making this video so that hopefully it’s something that will help you make an informed decision when trying to decide which type of camera you need. I am also interested to know if you agree with the opinions I present in this video.
