This is what you do when you need to do your country's "Do they know it's Christmas". "Cantaré, cantarás" is not. Cringe all the way! It's so funny how Televisa tried to copy frame by frame We Are the World. Who needs the Springsteen-Wonder battle when you can have Vicente Fernández versus José Feliciano.🤣
I think the song is racist because almost all the singers in it are white and then at one point as they're all gathered in singing they do the fist in the air like white supremacists so maybe this isn't a good song to play
People in the comments that are comparing this song to We Are The World and Do They Know It's Christmas as if it was a competition are missing the point of these songs.
Quite so. The point of the songs was to make the artists involved feel like they helped in fixing a problem by doing next to nothing. None of the problems the songs were addressing got solved. lol.
at the 2:48 mark right after they all belt out "together you and I!" look at the guy standing beside Anne Murray, look at his reaction probably to his own voice! lol
Excellent editing with new shots that I'd never seen in the 1985 version, an extremely well-composed song, and all the artists put their hearts into it! Thank you very much.
I was 18 years old, I was in the army, this song was recorded at Manta Sound Studios, Toronto, wonderful melody and voices, I love you, please record other songs, the world needs this, today I'm 57 years old and I will continue to always hear kisses, here from Brazil.
I wish someone would re-release the single on CD from the digital masters without loudness or any other gimmick. This is the closest we have to listen to the real thing since this is mostly available on tape and phonographic record. This is the perfect proof for those audiophiles living in denial that records needed processing to be able to reproduce as best as possible the source and that digital is the best way to register sound. On the records, the chimes are distorted, there's cut-off in several parts of the melody and even some voices, and it's because they probably hadn't enough time to process it for records or that was the best they could do. A record simply cannot handle it, not even as good as Hi-FI videotape. A great song which is trapped in scratchy bad-frequency-response records and hissy tapes. Such a shame. Thank goodness they released this video.
Love this song abd video David foster did a good job getting the people to do this song I enjoy listening to this sing I have the cd and record album.with this song on it thanks David foster for doing this video
Incredible time capsule of the best of Canada. Geddy Lee singing "Oh you know that we'll be there!" always stood out as a transition to the bridge that led to Mike Reno's crescendo.
Canada's Tears are not Enough is a super great song that is a grand and glorious LEDGENDARY Glorious Milestone It is exsteamly popular in Canada and the United States, popular on both sides of the border especially The Northern American United States and Canada as a LEDGENDARY true beyond price - And priceless eternally Canadian Music at it's very best.I will always lovingly love it. - heartwarmingly! A lovely loveable song to very often throughly full.
I absolutely love this song, but I was also so pleased to see my most favorite jazz piano player, Oscar Peterson. I wish I could have seen more of his concerts in person! RIP, my brother!
I wonder if they should record a new version of this song and feature some of the Canadian artists still alive like Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Geddy Lee, Robbie Robertson, Bryan Adams, and Corey Hart. However, they should also feature KD Lang, Shania Twain, Alanis Morisette, Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne, the members of Sum 41, Nickelback, Justin Bieber, and the Weekend as well.
