I've replaced the O ring but it still leaks, I have taken the brewing unit completely apart, cleaned it, afterwards even descaled it, and it's still leaking. It's leaking from the cup, from the bottom and from the top a little bit aswell

Excellent, thanks. I was able to remove it without disassembling the machine. There is a retaining clip top and bottom that can easily be accessed with a small flat screwdriver.

Oldie but goodie! Your o-ring fix works on a range of different Nespresso/Delonghi models. Mine is the EN750MB, but the brew head is the same as yours. I simply cleaned and reseated the o-ring (and scrubbed everything else with a toothbrush and toothpicks). No more internal dripping. BRILLIANT! Thank you.

You can remove the o-ring without disassembly any extra part, with a small tool press the clip at 1:14 and twist the part to take it out. I found one bigger o ring and its way too hard to install, i have different machine but similar mechanism. Well done for the inf but didn't fix my problem.

Thanks so much for this. My Nespresso Essenza Mini was leaking hot water from under the lever down the sides of the machine. Followed advise in another video on how to get all the casings off (mine had hexagonal security screws) then your video to change the 'O' ring. All I would say is I tried an every so slightly thicker ring and there was no way in a month of Sundays it was going to go back in. A new ring the same size as the original did the trick - no more leaks. Yes, it's fiddly, but it's good to not consign an otherwise good machine to the bin. Total repair costs £7.58 (security screw bits set £5.99, O rings £1.59). THANK YOU.

Brilliant, this video saved me £225 for a new machine. As stated you can remove the part without dissembling the machine. It's accessible from below after removing the drip trays. I removed the o-ring, placed in boiling water then ran it under the cold tap. After a quick clean of the parts with some washing-up liquid and putting back together it works like a charm. To think that I've put up with a leaking machine for 2 years is crazy. Thanks

It is not necessary to take apart the hole machine. You can also use a screwdriver and losen it when the capsule is in the machine.

This is a great video, thank you. I have found a quick way to achieve the same result. You don’t need to dismantle the machine. Just remove the trays and you can access this clip from underneath. Turns it into a five minute task.
@mark3826
@mark3826 2 года назад
This works! Don’t forget there is also a clip on the top side. I first just Unclipped the bottom one and was wondering why it didn’t come out. So just remember there is also one on the top. I managed also to break the little bit of the plastic off underneath the clip (oops). But I still got it all back together again and the machine still works without leaking. Also I didn’t want to go through the hassle of buying a new (maybe slightly thicker) ring, so I just used some lip balm on the ring before putting it back. Works like a charm.

@@mark3826 Thank you Mark! For others' reference, in US models there is a silver casing that is covering the upper clip. I wasn't able to remove it without disassembling the entire unit (I suppose you could just damage / break the silver casing as it appears to be cosmetic).

@@mark3826 Thanks Mark. I watch the video and follow your recommandation regarding lip balm after I boiled the O-Ring and freeze it. All looks ok now without leaking. And you are 100% right regarding the hassle of buying a new one which I experimented bfr I decided to go through the "boil-freeze-lip balm" process.

@Munzer1977
@Munzer1977 3 года назад
How did you take it apart..?? There's no scrows under but rather rivets
@Grelleum
@Grelleum 3 года назад
They are not actually rivets, they are oval security screws that require a special tool like this one: smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MS1BBF9?pf_rd_r=6SFDHXPN4G84PNKK58DA&pf_rd_p=5ae2c7f8-e0c6-4f35-9071-dc3240e894a8&pd_rd_r=4ddb479f-e4e4-4be4-bb88-79e3113badfd&pd_rd_w=whdD6&pd_rd_wg=190I9&ref_=pd_gw_unk
@scruffygit771
@scruffygit771 Год назад
They are not rivets, they are anti-tamper screws which need a special screwdriver to undo or, like I did, grip them tightly with the end of some pliers and when out, use a small hacksaw to form a slot in the end of each one so you can screw them back with a normal flathead screwdriver.

Thanks for this, I didn't need to dismantle the machine on a Magimix M190, you can access the brewer o-ring (38mm OD, 33mm ID by 2.5mm "D" shape in cross-section), access through to used pod space, turn upside down a small flat-bladed screwdriver, and a headtorch and it can be unclipped and removed. Turns out my seal was fine, all it needed was the internal face of the machine that the brewer seals against had a collection of congealed coffee, a toothbrush to scrub it off, and seems OK now.
@stephenandjulia1
@stephenandjulia1 3 года назад
I'd really appreciate a video of that as I can't figure out how you found the o-ring through the top of the unit
@mrjolly75
@mrjolly75 3 года назад
@@stephenandjulia1 You actually get to it from that space where the pods drop into. Remove the clear pod box and drip box and you will see the brewer unit from underneath. Then you will see the little clip bit was can be used to remove that front piece - operate the handle and you'll see it moving back and forth.

Thank you, helpful video, but how did you remove the shell? I have a Nespresso Essenza Mini and now own a set of Tork keys/Mako drivers to remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the unit. After some serious prying of plastic pins with screwdrivers on the back of the unit, I'm going nowhere fast. I'm toying with the idea of standing on one leg and spinning clockwise. I'm hoping there's a more serious solution;-)

@@simonb7846 You are welcome. I put mine back together and it works fine. After some fiddling around I put the machine on its back so the spout is facing up and gravity held the washer there as I put the carrier with the o-ring back. I should have done that first, but I have to learn the hard way.
