My GF and I are looking to live in Eagle. We actually did for 2 months in a temp furnished place. Now we are near the airport :( She just started a job in Eagle and wants the option of walking to work. We have a small Pomeranian dog Pearl. We moved here to be close to some school age nieces who live in the southern suburbs. We are having trouble finding a place because our credit isn't great (its fair-ish) and I haven't found a job yet, though that may soon change (September) If you would like to help us try to find a place we have a great story and amazing career history. We have already researched the most obvious options and are looking for a more unique solution that might not be as easy to find. Since we keep spinning our wheels with short term furnished solutions we are actually quite flexible on dates and types of properties. All the best, keep pubbin the vids they are quite informative!
I'm originally from Los Angeles, I can 100% understand why someone would never leave Idaho. My feelings are as population density goes up, quality of life goes down.
Idaho is full!! ya'll have already priced our children out of buying homes or even land in their own home towns. In 3 years houses have gone from roughly $100,000 or so to a freakin million and more!! stop please!! If you do move here refuse the high prices. Buy from the seller not the bank! Demand has driven everything through the roof!!
Too many people from out of state are pissing off the locals by increasing the property values making housing unaffordable. If you do move here, don't think conservative here means the same as what you think it does. Be sure to learn to be a good neighbor.
I am parented with Real Broker but Run my own team with my wife. Feel free to email me at matthew@livinglifeboiseidaho.com or at 509-595-5505, and I can review all my fees with you!
St. Luke's Boise Medical Center in Boise is rated #1 in ID. Frankly, it's marginal at best. Are there any plans to upgrade St. Luke's and also address the level 1 trauma center issue?
It's fairly common for smaller and mid sized cities to not have a level 1 trauma center. If Idaho does get one it would definitely be in Boise. For now the closest is Salt Lake City. Here is a link to the development plan for St. Luke's. I know with the boom in the Treasure valley, development is trying to keep up. www.stlukesonline.org/about-st-lukes/capital-projects/st-lukes-boise-development-plan#:~:text=Medical%20Office%20Plaza-,St.,for%20patients%2C%20while%20increasing%20St.
Praying I can make my way there permanently once I’m able to retire. I’m looking for peace and quiet, particularly when it comes to neighbors. I’ve had more than enough of the constant booms coming from my neighbors backyards for hours on end, every day. My guess is that is an extreme rarity in Idaho.
I hated Eagle Idaho. The people were stuck up, nosy, the HOAs (Red Door) Sucked. They were cheaply made, expensive for the what they are. I left bought a house with property for way less than Eagle. It took me almost 45 minutes to get out of Eagle, traffic was so bad.

Someone from ID was telling us that everyone who doesn't want to live in CA is moving there. Just like everyone who hates Illinois is moving to Wisconsin.
I totally believe it! One article that I was reading said that over 40% of people moving to Idaho are Californians. Not sure how credible the article was, but it was still interesting.
Yes, I did! I was debating about including them in this video, but since I talk about the lovely Idaho winters in other videos, I decided to leave them out.
If your political ideology didn't ruin your last state, then you won't ruin this beautiful state. Since people have swamped into the Boise region from the coast, drug use and crime have skyrocketed. Our family fled Communism and I've lived in a few countries and several states before moving here. It's not perfect, but Idaho is a great place to live if you love freedom. We bought our 3,200 sq foot luxury house for $300k on 4 acres in 2011. It's valued at over $700k now. We live 35 minutes south of Boise.
@@LivingLifeinEagleIdaho Yup. Glad out kids also bought at pretty good prices. We had a construction spurt in my community. 40 lots, 5 homes when we got here, but 10 new construction in the past 6 years. 25 lots still vacant. There's Palm Estates just north of us with over 60 lots, no houses yet, and a huge community being built on the Elmore/Ada border, way over 200 lots there.

It can get pretty close, I think it can surprise some for sure! I was playing around on smartasset.com and if you make $250,000 and file taxes as an individual you will net $168,000 and in California you net $159,000! But of course, there are lots of other areas where you will save a lot more in if you live in Idaho.
