It's great that you go out and shoot at distance, so many channels judge accuracy at such short ranges, it isn't even worth the time to watch. I don't know much about the rifle you are using, however, I would say that's really good, it was more about the optic than the round/rifle combination. Thanks for the video brother, how's the reliability of that rifle? I almost bought one at bass pro in vaughn ontario but the top rail was not aligned propetly.
This one has run 100% so far. I would guess about 500 rounds fired so far in it. You do have to keep on top of all the Allen screws it has and tighten them up regularly - I check them after every range trip. I had modest expectations when I got it but so far I'm pleased with it.
Excellent review, I bought this 22 12 years ago and finally took it out. Has nikon 22 bdc 4-12 scope . Blazers, rem vipers, sk match, elly club all shot well. I need to do the trigger mine feels really heavy . Is there a link or video of the work you've done, bedding stock and trigger I would like to do
I've done nothing to the rifle as far as bedding or trigger work, mine is 100 percent stock. I'm nervous of messing with triggers as it is possible to ruin them and make them unsafe with modifications.
I am trying to find some info/opinions on unloading this gun. As he mentioned its almost impossible to keep your hand out of the firing line of the muzzle when taking out the tube. So say i have a few rounds left in the tube and one in the chamber, ideally i would empty the tube and then cycle the last round out of the chamber but this puts my hand in front of the muzzle with a round in the chamber. Only other option is to just cycle them all out which seems to be the safest option just not the most convenient. Curious if any thoughts on this. Not interested in "just shoot till its empty", keep seeing that comment on forums but thats not practical sometimes and is a waste.

Yes, the Star of David just indicated brass case, same as an asterisk that was also used. As a + symbol indicates steel case. If there is a line after the factory code, then that indicates only one offset Berdan flash hole. Drill bits cost money, as these small flash holes are dilled. The "X" is just a clandestine symbol that was used. They also used a male symbol, 4 dots and a few others on military cartridges during the same time period. The WWII German code given to this factory to use was P14A and changed to dou the fist of 1941. The Czech military headstamp used at that time was a letter Z. This factory moved a couple of times so there are many codes used. Lots of owners over the years since 1866. You do nice videos. Thanks, Joe Long time cartridge collector.
If you know someone with a 3D Printer they could make a 2 piece cover for the reservoirs to make emptying easier . Also maybe a thin piece of brass or aluminum shim stock could be made to fit on top of the charge bar to reduce the powder spillage and glued in place. Just a thought ,I remember when the Lee Load All first came out ,looks like it's been improved a lot .I have a Bair Honey Bear .12 Ga. I bought 50 years ago when they sold the company to Pacific who later sold it to Hornady .
Yes, no doubt a 3d printer could make either a two piece cover or perhaps a cover hinged in the middle that would allow one side at a time to be covered for the purpose of emptying the hoppers. Interesting idea, thanks.
Nice gun! I have a model 185 KB 20ga. If I’m correct it’s from the late 1950’s. It was my first gun, my Dad bought it for me in 1977 just in time for small game season. I was 12 at the time. Still have it and just gave it to my son. Ironically I found another just like it at a local gun shop for $125.
Much better now, ill dance with her!! I purchased a LEE Enfield 6 years ago, the butt stock was no good i see 1942 on it had to sportarise it, its supper accurate and the trigger is nice. Good times
Did the rehab include correcting the point of aim? More important than looks, as I believe that you had mentioned it to be off by quite a bit. I like to think that beauty is as beauty does. If the belle of the ball can't cook, what good is she in the long run?
Overall I prefer the Prvi Partizan line of ammo over S&B, but S&B has gotten much better in the last few years. One issue with S&B 303 is the shape of the case rims, they are much more prone to "rim lock".
I have not tried mine with slugs but I would think it would be very inaccurate to have a 20 gauge slug bouncing down a 12 gauge bore. If you try it let us know how it works out.
