Hi Pat, I wonder could you tell me where you got this reel from? It sounds like the first part a tune that Finbarr played on an amateur RU-vid video but you have an alternative second part that I'm curious about. Regards, P
I have to say I'm very impressed to see a 3-row box playing this stuff today. The phase of popularity of these boxes has well and truly passed but there was something special in their sound and tonal/harmonic possibilities. Great job. I hope you don't mind me adding that this is not a Finbarr tune, though he did play it. It is a traditional reel called "The Mullingar Lea" and is commonly played in the lower key of G.
Greetings from Dublin 🇮🇪☘️ I really enjoy your videos & I'm guessing that's your lovely & talented wife on Concertina?? I was interested to hear (Joe) Cooley's played as a hornpipe when I always knew it as a reel. Keep up the great work. Tòg a bog è.
