Brick Built model set reviews! Mould King, Blue Brixx, LesDIY, Nifeliz, Knock off and real Lego sets.
In late 2020 I was laid up post-surgery and my wife helped my rediscover my childhood love for Lego with the Mandalorian's Razor Crest set. I built that set and was hooked again, buying up all the current releases and then discovering alt-bricks when old Lego sets were just way out of my price range.
I'm a big sci-fi & fantasy fan, so expect Star Wars, Stargate, D&D, Medieval, and other such sets, although I'm not against doing WWII and other random themes as well! There's probably not going to be a lot of cars, though.
This used to be Off-Topic, but as it was mostly brick builds we re-branded and re-focused on publishing only brick builds and associated videos here. (So don't get confused at the mention of Off Topic in older videos.)
The hands seem to turn like they do on about a third of my original LEGO figs, because all the arms are cracked!😁 The price of LEGO is ridiculous! Thanks for the review!
Halfway this problem child. So i checked if it was me or the set that was not right. The tension on the back is huge. It s bended in a abnormal way. BAD. Things keep falling of, connections with just one stud or none. The whole thing is build in a unlogical way. It s sad to say. Mouldking steals a design and put the parts together. Nothing has been checked. They never do. Quality and instructions are top, but this whole thing is crap. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.
I built a small one here: ru-vid.como-A7_gcPXYs?si=3qP797kJ3R82qFTd - Not a big Trek fan, so I don't really know much about the ships. I may end up doing a few, but it won't be like Stargate where I build them all.
I just built my first Lego set. The millennium falcon, not the ridiculously expensive one. Still expensive by my standards but I'm obsessed now! Can you suggest something similar in size, maybe bigger that would be a good experience for me? I'm looking for a non Lego one due to prices
I had Not the Problem with the Ring. Good to See im Not the only one who build it wrong ^_^. Look at the printed lines at the end of the Ship. If they would to a bb store in US, i dont know if you could buy the sets in there. Because of the licenz, for Star trek they have only the licenz for Europe
There are a lot of Star Wars Mould King Models not being built and reviewed, like the Lego RU-vidrs. It looks like a plague issue. I’m sorry Seven, am I preaching? With all the RU-vid videos out there I figure there would be at least some good real time builds too.
That stinks. I lucked out because I thought it went on sale on the 4th. I just happened to be researching a set for a video and saw it was available, so I hit add to cart.
I have ADHD, so I tend to lose things as soon as I set them down. I have a drawer full of knives. I still struggle to find one when I need to open a package. 🤪
When u build these mould king projects, super the sub assemblies together and then join them. It makes it a lot easier and makes for a much stronger model
If the model requires super glue, it's a bad design. I don't mind trying to fix a few problems with loose parts here and there, but if the whole frame needs to be superglued, that's really bad. Especially given that other designs for the same ship do not require that.
(Whispers) Jay this is Erich, I’ve already seen those videos and subscribed. LOL Love this set it turned out great and was also very surprised to see the light kit implemented in the initial build stage wow what a concept eh haha. The room is lookin great your gunna have to give us a tour soon and show of your handy work. Take care
I will absolutely be looking for this model, it looks awesome. However is someone who used to put together car models and now mostly puts together LEGO cars, I have always loved putting decals on and so the stickers don't bother me, although their factory can put them on a lot straighter than I can. Lol
I think mould king is blowing Lego out of the water in terms of UCS sets. Yes sometimes they have design and stability issues but the end results look amazing. I built the UCS Eclipse as my first MK set and I was astonished at the detail and richness of the set. The prices are also MUCH better than Lego and you get tons of quality bricks for just a couple hundred bucks. Only issue with MK is they steal MOC designs but now they are working to license the designs.
ru-vid.comgUSL673cAgE?si=DluI050I_gWZjNO2 - Wasn't too expensive to get a real Lego one. (Sub $10 US) I actually bought one from a smaller Cantina set because the belt looks better. Still cheaper than shelling out for the real Lego set overall.
This is a year ago so you probably know better by now but the bags aren’t necessarily in order though depending on the company they can be and the instructions are the original Lego instructions but made to fit onto less pages so it’s cheaper
