For any cargo bike, you will want fatter tires, especially if you actually use it for carrying stuff around. As an “everyday” riding bike, it probably sucks and so will ANY cargo bike. An everyday all round bike, it’s overkill. I am considering a couple of cargo bikes, but I live on my boat and sail around to different places and don’t have a car, even if I did, it wouldn’t fit on the boat. I’m looking at a small cargo bike because I’m not always near grocery stores and want to be able to carry more… An actual use for a cargo e-bike.
UK e-scooters have 3 speed settings 1st 5-6mph 2nd 11mph and 3rd 15.5mph so basically the L20 speed settings are the same for 2nd 4th and 5th You sound nacked doing that hill test even tho you say it's doing well lol I don't think it can do hill climbs by your video
I've owned this model of bike since 2022. The battery died after about 18 months. I took care of the bike, charging it as per the instructions. The battery was a 14.5ah 36 volt, I waited 7 months for a replacement!!! I paid approx £1200 new, now I see thy are selling them off a lot cheaper as they bring out new models. Beware the battery replacement is not and will not be easy in the future for this model of bike...
Hiya. Just got my Fiido X and wanted to ask you, do you think the power comes on in higher gears such as 2nd or 3rd rather than 1st when going up those steep hills ? Thanks for your reply. Paul in Devon
Hi @mxx369! My recommendation would be to double check all of the connections that need to be plugged together. Specifically for your case, double check the headlight connection and the throttle assist connection. The connectors are color coded and there are arrows that need to line up. I had some trouble getting the connectors to stay connected so take your time and push them together pretty hard and it should work :) Also, look inside the pin side connector to make sure none of the pins are bent.
@@ebikechoices Hello thanks your right, i saw that the connection wires at the front would often become loose and would need putting in again. I have fixed that but i have an issue unlocking the battery. I typed in the password but then it switched to chinese mode ie it displayed chinese writing at the top, with english numbers below it but it didn't unlock, so i cannot change the battery.
Looks very nice. I have just done the same with the four wheel version. I would be very interested in fitting a disc brake to mine. Please could you tell me how you fitted it and link to the parts you used?
Can this kit be reprogrammed as is possible with a lot of Bafang kits, or is it just to take as it comes? I have been looking at the Sutto kit, but I am new in this e-bike conversion thing. My experience with Chinese tech stuff is that documentation is hard to find. Often specs or manuals are lacking or don't cover a lot of things. So, Is this kit workable for a beginner?
ATTENTION this bike is too powerful to be able to get certification in France : - you won't be able to get buy incentive from the State - you'll have to pay a dedicated speedbike insurance They do not tell you that before you buy it!! And BE CAREFUL Fiido is not reliable at all : I have ordered this bike (not knowing what I wrote before) in mid april, they told me that it would be sent in may 15th and NOTHING has been shipped yet: neither my bike neither accessories. I won't have in before half of June at least, so 2 month waiting time !! Be very careful with huge delays with this company
8:15 freaked me out! I thought your camera wingman cut inside you to hide from the car!! like my collie does :-) 10:14 Your left hand on the handle bar .. I get it now :-) I thouroughly enjoyed this video. I would have lost two bars up that hill. I have a knee that I need to get more up to speed. I have ridden racing bikes all my life, I have a mountain bike but I could never push it over its speed limit set by its sad tyres. I think I'll get a C21 to get me back into postion, by training, to perhaps crack it back into action. again. Inspiring video :-)
What was the total range in winter weather also what temperature did you ride in? Im planning on ordering one and Sweden has really cold long winters. Gotta get atleast 20km range during winter.
I am waiting on delivery of my bike. From past MTB & Gravel bike experience, putting thinner less chunky tyres on the bike will improve the battery range and general handling, as there will be less tyre resistance when riding the bike. I'll be changing the tyres soon after it arrives.I am also disabled with heart problems and I thought my cycling days were over, I am chomping at the bit to get this bike. My bike is the Engwe L20 SE 250W 20" Foldable edition. This bike is cheaper than the none folding edition.
This bikes headlight, "works really well at night". But what about its daylight capabilities? And which bike headlight did you have that didn't "work well at night"? The problem with this review is you didn't pay for it with your cash, and would most likely like the new and improved version in the future. Also sent to you, free of all costs. Nice grift, if you can get it....
Its a road bicycle, there even no gravel handlebar. You are victim of marketing, or pervert.... idk. For off road, good enough only full suspension bicycle. With this bicycle you only will get problem with your hands, and head.
I assembled my new Fiido Titan Ebike this morning and had the most amazing ride ever. The quality and performance truly impressed me. I'm excited to go out for another ride tomorrow morning.
I have the same bike and I just flew up a really steep hill without any hassle at all. I'm 85kg and was wearing a heavy backpack. I think you must have a problem with your bike.
So was this with or without the motor on? And if so, what setting? Also worth mentioning, that you are exceeding the max gross weight of this bike by 5Kg.
Hi! I am also considering buying the same kit and I was wondering if it came with a rim tape already installed ? If not which size did you have to buy ? Thanks
Great little review. My neighbour has just ordered one so I was curious. Very interesting to see just how light it is vs my all be it full suspension mid drive Specialized. I really liked the fact it looks so subtle, great for roads and more gentle tracks.
I have this bike and the chainwheel is perfect for the road and can handle 15% on low gear no probs. Unless your thinking about cycling up to first base on Mt Everest then id leave it alone. Honestly its much ado about nothing.
Given my experience with another bike at around the same spec/price I would be interested in hearing some reviews of customer service / post sales support? Something of a minefield with most machines of this type gathering from my investigations of a number of brands.
Great video and overview, been looking to get a kit to convert my Trek Cyclecross due to the very hilly environment we have moved too recently. Do you have any experience in the front wheel version of this kit? Just thinking it might be an easier swap but wanted to get your thoughts. Thanks
Ebike Choices, I'm just curious that your channel description mentions you are in Colorado in the,USA, but you are riding a bike on the fringes of Dartmoor. Am I missing something? Thanks.
Hi @neilfurby555. Great question! eBike Choices was located in the UK until Dec 2023 when it was purchased by the current owners that live in Colorado USA. Based on that, you'll see a lot of content that was filmed in the UK and now going forward, more content that is filmed in Colorado.
1.345 / 5.000 Übersetzungsergebnisse Übersetzung Hello everyone, I can only advise anyone interested against Fiido! What I've been through with the service for almost nine months is unbelievable. Absolute non-service disaster At the beginning we, my wife, were quite happy with the Fiido C22, but after just a month we started having electronic problems. A total of 55 emails went back and forth with Chinese support, of course always in English, before a replacement display was sent to me. But that didn't work either because it apparently had the wrong firmware. Lots of emails back and forth again, with the result that I had to send the bike to the only German workshop in Rosenheim, mind you, at my own expense. I would rather not have done that! Because it's been there for over half a year and despite a total of 50 emails and calls there in the workshop, there's no progress. I've already written off the bike. Unfortunately I have to say that I also paid the completely overpriced 1600€, even though it has been offered for 1200 for a long time now. This is doubly annoying. It's all a shame because the bike actually rode great when it still worked and also looked nice. However, based on the service experience, I advise you to KEEP YOUR FINGER AWAY from Fiido! As long as they don't have a dealer network in Germany, it's not an option. Greetings, Steve
NIce review - but check the level of customer support provided by Fiido I have a HEYBIKE EC1, which looks identical except mine has a removable battery. But mine does not work, and never has, the power switch was broken out of the box. If anyone purchases one of the bikes mentioned here I hope that the Fiido customer support is better than that provided by Heybike, which is non-existent, save for a number of messages sending best wishes and telling me how busy they are. BEWARE buying Chinese bikes, its a minefield and there is no consumer protection to help.
Followed you and made a huge mistake, wasted money. Caution for readers, dont believe those fancy and probably paid reviews. It does look good but it does brake quickly. At least that what I found after communication with customer service. My bicycle's torque sensor broke within 3 months. Wasn't able to get it replaced for 4 months so was without bicycle. Service sucks and even in warranty, you have to pay for parts and replacement.
I own one of these. It's great. BUT!! They come with absolutely NO warranty! So be warned, if something goes wrong then you're on your own. I had an electrical failure on mine after a month and had to completely dismantle the bike to fix. If you don't have any knowledge of electronics then maybe this isn't the bike for you.
