In this latest iteration, I'm doing videos on basically anything I'm passionate about - technology, consumer rights, Netflix... and maybe some other stuff.

Since we're sharing fantastic steward/conductor/pilot announcements: On a plane once, during safety announcements, "Be sure to place your own oxygen mask on before helping others, such as children or people who act like children." There were a lot more jewels from that person, but I can't remember what they were. I just remember it took a lot longer to do the announcements because they had to keeping waiting for the "audience" to stop laughing.
The funniest train announcement I ever heard was on a Glasgow to London train. As the train left Glasgow, we got the usual departure announcement, given by a young woman, speaking very formally ie: "welcome aboard the GNER service to London King's Cross, calling at Motherwell, blah blah. The buffet car is situated at the rear of the train, serving tea, coffee, a selection of sandwiches and.....EEK!" followed by a pause and giggling., While giving her posh announcement, one of her colleagues must have done something like pinch her bum. Whole train was laughing at that one. 😄
NYC subway announcer: "This train will be held at this station momentarily due to an individual falling into the train tracks. We apologize for any inconv- *static noises*" *20 minutes later* "The next stop will be *static noises*. Stand clear of the closing doors please" England subway announcer:
There was a station announcer at Chelmsford in the 1970s who used to regularly make joke announcements. One classic was 'We regret to announce the 7.54 to Liverpool Street is running approximately 8 minutes late as tve sriver has stopped to lick blackberries.'. caused a lot of laughter. A gaurd once was reprimanded as a train approached Tilbury Town 'We are now approaching Tilbury Town and for those of you leaving the train i apologise....that you are having to get off at a place such as Tilbury'.
Actually, I prefer my trains to be quiet, so I can sit and read. One of my few short stretches of peace in a busy day! So some driver wittering on with his 'humorous' noise pollution isn't what I need.
Public transport is between feeling like a tinned sardine just without the oil and being totally bored. Drivers with a good sense of entertainment and humour are highly welcome and should be supported everywhere ❤👍🥳
