Waouw je suis choquée par la vie de cette femme (NOIRE) de l' ombre mais qui a su malgré tt le contexte raciste de l' epoque et les drames de sa vie s' imposer ! Encore 1 masterclass, bravo !
Visited Haus of Hoodoo in New Orleans back in January this year. Felt an immediate sense of calm as soon as zip walked in. I felt like I belonged. Bought a special conditional oil along with other items. She’s the truth, because Hoodoo and Voodoo is the truth. It comes from a pure place.
This is sad to see. Do not engage in what this woman is doing or else you will mess up the destiny Jesus has for your life. Witchcraft brings nothing but curses and these demons will turn on anyone involved in this mess.
🌹 thank you. This is a lovely interpretation of this story and I can relate to all you said and have been sensitive,, told this by family in a negative manner. However I have been a great youth and community worker for the past 20 years. Made a positive difference always and as you say continue and don't let external negativity impact. Protection Peace and Light Love to all who is like the princess. Never change
I enjoyed this episode. As a fellow HSP, I can relate. Thank you for the dose of nostalgia and the reminder that sensitivity is one of our greatest strengths.
Truly inspiring. I love what she said about not letting the connection with your spirits grow cold. I've been guilty of doing this due to depression, lack of motivation which is a by-product of depression. It inspires me to reconnect with my ancestors, my roots, my spirits.
Hey, you are a good story teller and hands down to all your work, I would like some sources since all this is quite different to from what I have found whilst researching Blessed be
Thank you! I dropped some sources in the description - but a lot of my info is also from different things I’ve read over the years. I started off with reading Keeping Her Keys
Isaiah55:6&7,"Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon." Repent, receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior today. This is God's invitation for redemption, Jesus loves you so much and he is the only WAY to eternity.God bless you
Wonderful discussions. I related on all your topics. Especially mental health! The stigma is frustratingly still ingrained in society. One of my best friend’s just lost her husband last month. She is going through this right now too. So many people I know are experiencing loss through loved ones/fur babies/and close friendships. Myself included. Great show!
Let's get something clear. Hoodoo is not a spiritual tradition originating in the Dominican Republic. It comes out of the Black Americans tradition here in North America, the USA. We didn't use the term witch. We didn't do tarot either. Tarot is a non-Hoodoo practice that was later incorporated among some, not all Hoodoo practitioners. Candle magic was a more recent add-on to the Hoodoo tradition. High John the Conqueror is a herb, plant a root, it is not something summoned with a candle. I don't mind people of African descent from the islands practicing Hoodoo, but if you are going to do the tradition, then at least credit it where it comes from and I didn't hear her do that in the interview.
You’re definitely correct about the origins of Hoodoo. In fact we did have a section about how it originated, but sometimes things get cut down and we lose good info like that during the edit process. Also since Jessyka’s spiritual work and ancestry is in Vodou, we chose to focus on that mostly in this video. Thanks for your comment And thanks for watching!
So glad you found us! I’m a one-person band and right now I’m focusing on other projects, like the Wyrd Way podcast which is the newest content on this channel right now. Check it out if you’re interested and thanks so much for watching! Really appreciate it! I’m hoping one day to be able to return to makiNg new WWH episodes!
This was great. It makes me happy to see someone who still has a strong connection to their ancestry. Although my family did not do rituals, I felt compelled to build an altar in my home since it gives me such joy & calm. Thank you for letting the world know about your practice.
