Hi there how can I put in ballistic info into the unit ? I shooting 10.5g pellets on Daystate 12lbs energy rifle. I don’t have h graff so can’t tell accurate speed of a pellets
Great video good few magpies there too, I'm liking the look.of the zulus ,couple of questions tho before buying one, would the ballistic calculator work with a .177 sub 12ftlb, how long does the battery last and how good is the supplied ir..
Yes the Ballistic calculator works with sub 12 I would recommend buying one extra battery that will see you through any hunting sessions and ir is very good too , if you use my link il get more stuff from them to review in future 👍
Having tried lots of different pellets, my .177 HW97k seems to like the JSB Exact Express which are slightly lighter than the normal JSB Exact (which were also good).. My .22 HW97k seems to like the JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy. Gotta be worth a try..
I bought an HW99S couple of years ago. Wanted to go back to what I had as a kid……break barrel and iron sites. Had to put a scope on as my eyes weren’t good enough anymore ! Superb little rifle and deadly accurate at 20yards less than 1/2 groups ! Beautiful quality engineering.
I did the same and have fired over 8000 shots ! it has obviously lost a little power, but not important in my 12 metre garden range ! and i concur - terrific little rifle for not a lot of money .
@@airhunteruk well I better get one bought then, it’s been a while since I last dropped a comment for this so I thought I’d give you a bit of time with it and see if you still thought the same. Cheers buddy have a great week. Oh I can’t remember if I told you but I wanted a cheap but good 22 for indoor ferals because my hw100 in 177 some pellets were travelling straight through and putting holes in the sheeting and as I didn’t was to upset the owner I stopped until I got my hands on another pcp in 22. So I opted for the Reximex Myth and for less than £400 honestly it’s hellish, it has one hell of a bark to it so I popped through to my local rfd and picked up a A-Tec wave silencer for £39 and my god and I’m going to push my neck out here but it’s quieter than a Weihrauch one and looks great on the rifle. So that’s my new toy, oh and I’ve bought a wulf compressor too so I’ll never be out of air. I may wait until the bank holiday as there may be some sales to be had so I may hold off until then before I commit to a Zulus.
@@airhunteruk just ordered one! But I’ll be staying in for the foreseeable future now! Bread and water for the next six months, or rabbit pie if I see any about as they are like rocking horse crap around here.
I'm not a fan of military looking air guns , to me they're very pretentious, trying to be something they're not. I've been a hw fan for many decades now 😊
Just bought one and took my first shots with it - not shot a springer for the best part of 30 years - absolutely loved using the tx200! Very accurate and fun to use. Loved how I'm not having to check a pressure gauge all the time. 2 hours flew by and it's definitely left a big smile on my face! 😊
It would be perfect if it didn't have the ugly anti-beartrap. Such a strange design decision when the rest of the rifle looks so beautiful. It looks completely out of place. Similar story with the Pro-sport. Beautiful gun, until you see the aluminium cocking lever that doesn't fit the look of the rifle at all.
Hw99 is one of those guns that’s secretly accurate. That being said you must pull through the barrel on new Weihruach rifles because the put lots of grease inside to prevent rust during shipping. Personally I’d ditch the picatinny rail and get some Sportsmatch dovetail mounts ( British made, proven and reasonably priced). Because you’re adding another piece to fail and building in inaccuracy clamping a separate part onto another separate part before full contact with the rifle.
Hi is the vixen loud when you fire it ,and if so what would you compare it with as I was thinking of purchasing one but would I have to buy the carbon shroud.
You get a bit of a pig sound from the hammer spring, same on most agt's, but you can get a damping sleeve to go over it that quietens things down quite a bit
I've had one for about 7 months, also in .177 , its in brilliant condition, brought it for I'm going to upset you now ,£ 275 second hand, shoots like a dream, accuracy that whoud put some pcp's to shame, it's a keeper, 😂👍
Reg creep happen to lots of impact. Replacing it is so easy. If u too stupid to change the reg and looking for a shop to do it. DO NOT BUY A IMPACT smh. Its so easy smh
@airhunteruk naw I'm saying you complaining about a used impact of a reg creep too dam much. If you received a broken gun, broken parts, not working, leaking, etc then yes you should get your money back. But it's a reg creep for crying out loud lmao. If you go on airgun forums, everyone has reg creep on mk1 and mk2. That's why the m3 have double regs to try to stop or limit the reg creep. Also an impact is a gun for those who like to tune and mess with it. It's not a gun you shoot out from the box. Get a marauder or avenger for that sht. The fx impact have many O rings and will need to be maintenance. It's a gun for more experience shooter. You will need to know how it works and how to take it apart and put back. If you already having trouble just replacing a simple reg, its not a gun for you. The impact is not a gun for noobs. Just saying the truth like it is.
You were lucky you got the problem solved costly mistake on purchase. Now while you have it up to par put it up for sale let the seller know what you did. Great review thank you
Iv the very same rifle and built a bull barrel with extra length to incorporate some baffles, striped it down polished internally and did a few tweaks, it’s a lot more accurate and around 11 foot pounds, cracking little rifle, TbT do a nice kit for it too, makes a good bit of difference. 177 always.
Had both, flogged the FX - was a tacticool moment, not a bad Rifle but minor issues all over! fun to shoot, angry to fix. HW100 just so much more fun tbh but much heavier
Good video Paul. Great to see the Yorkshire shooters sticking together mate. 😉 Also, while I'm here. Has Liam done the trigger mod's on the 452 ?. And, any info on the bipod setup on the .223 ?. Looks weird as it's not under the rifle. All the best buddy.
So can you explain whats going on, if the regulator was putting out MORE pressure (creeping to 70 was mentioned) why the FPS & FPe were down.....I would have thought the opposite would have been true?
HW100 if its been ratworked and a lighter cylinder fitted. Before it would do 4 x 14 shots. Now its 140. There is no real point in an Impact unless its FAC. I have and shoot both. In FAC, the switch barrel Impact is a big plus over the HW100. The 100 is not a good rifle for FAC.
Really taken with the gun, particularly for the weight and balance. Great group at 50yds. The only pause for thought is resting my head directly on the air tank. I know the risk of catastrophic failure is low given a CF construction has a lot of toughness, but it does make me think about the more traditional design in a different light.
Nice shooting I’ve just got the Zulus 5-20 lrf what a bit of kit, although I’ve had to shim a bit of card to centre the reticle as it does my head in if it’s up the top end of screen ,suppose a set of adjustable mounts would have been nice, waiting on the 3 way thermal to come out now
I had the same excitement the day I got mine. It just blew me away literally on the first shot. And I have the same worries- it's almost too nice to take out in the woods lol. Loved this video
I own both. An Impact M3 in .22 and an HW 100 in .20 cal. Both are FAC. So I need to get that out of the way at the outset. Given that you guys are limited to 12fpe, this discussion is simply an FYI chat. In no way do I intend pitting the one brand against the other. Perdonally I like and respect both. I've owned my HW 100 for nearly 4 years. During which time it developed a very minor leak. I've had my FX for 3 years and not a day's trouble. I suspect, its because I don't fiddle and adjust and tweak. At the outset I set it up for long range work. It shoots 30grain .218 H&N slugs @985fps. ( 65fpe) To this day, without touching either the gun or scope (Hawke Frontier FFP) it will print sub MOA groups at 100m all day long, with a PB of 15mm. My HW 100 is a superb gun for targets under 75m. (8 to 10mm groups all day long at 50m) I run 15.89 JSB @785 fps. ( 23fpe) NB These pellets have one of the highest, if not the highest BC's ( 0.047) Suffice it to say, I suspect FX's myriad adjustability features may be its Achilles heel. It may not be designed / suited to lower power. ( I'm not an engineer) So, my humble advice is, once your impact is set up, stop fiddling and twisting and adjusting, and it should serve you well. Having said all this, if I was limited to 12fpe, I'd choose an HW100 in .20 cal....Yes .20 cal. Shooting JSB 13.73 or H&N 11grainers.
