My floors were damaged by Hurricane Ian. The slab shows 75-80% moisture after using a dehumidifier. when can I store LVT for acclimation and eventual installation on the plastic sheet?
The only thing I would say, and not to correct you… but newbies taking on a new home project should maybe not take on pre-manufactured tongue and groove flooring. It may seem easy and something any DIYer could do… but minor issues arise that could increase the inflated costs. Albeit, it’s a worthwhile investment…. some may not be prepared for the cost of potential waste. ❤️
When you start cutting around door jambs, closets, hallways etc etc you're in for quite a surprise. You will not be able to do those type of cuts and you will end up hiring a professional to take over the job. Even if you have the proper tools to make the cuts, it's installing those cuts that becomes very difficult. I've installed hundreds of laminate floors and this new Rigid core vinyl is incredibly difficult. Even if your room is square and you have no door jambs to cut around it is still quite the task. I'm just being honest with you and letting you know what you're in for. I mean if you're installing 10 square feet while standing up like that guy did I imagine that would be pretty easy...
I am a flooring installer in this was the worst educational video that I've ever seen in my life you didn't show how to pieces go together and slide together properly and you definitely don't ever hit the edge of that with a rubber mallet
What a weird way to show people... how about on a real floor with real obstacles and weirs cuts and stuff instead a little sandbox perfect square... pretty useless video

Why wouldn't you apply the glue into the groove? What's the whole point of only applying it to the bottom part of the groove? Won't it make the bond weaker?
I was wondering this too. The flooring manufacturer of my flooring recommended it to be applied inside the grave. They also recommended the tongue to be laid out and not the groove part
Really? How about under the Kitchen appliances, like th BUILT IN BOSCH DISHWASHER so the DW can be pulled out if it needs repaired? How to fit UNDER the door jams? Under the "hollow core" doors, or the kitchen cabinets? All this over hard porcelain tile that is perfect!
