The current market/economy is unnecessarily tougher for boomers/senior citizens, I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.
Yes, gold is a great investment and a good bet against the devaluating dollar, been holding some for awhile now, I’m grateful my adviser’s moment by moment changes in the market are lightening quick, cos who know how much losses I would’ve had by now.
I envy you, I’m still trying to recover from losses I incurred in 2021/2022, who is this investment adviser you work with, I’m intrigued and I could use some quality guidance
My CFA ‘’Aileen Gertrude Tippy” , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
Excellent video ! thank you for the upload and I'll be referring back to it. As an MBA grad it was good to see the same books and methods used in Innovation management within your video. I think your video has reminded me of the details. Thanks again. (subscribed !). I also echo the sentiments below, the absence of music/intros/sellling something is brilliant. Thank you !
1:30 - he got an MBA from Cornell. Immediately, we are not operating in the same universe, and any advice will fall on deaf ears. I have a hard time leaving the house or studying anything for more than four minutes. Hopeless.
I plan to start a RU-vid channel in the Fall and am trying to learn all I can. I hope I can earn some money from it although I'm not looking to get rich. But I wouldn't turn it down of course. Thank you for this.
I'd like to see a follow on. You've got 50 times as many subs now and many more videos. Is the revenue still focused on your side hustle video or is the focus now on your newly released videos? Has YT's payouts continued to scale with views and subs? That one video has 200k view and this one currently has 1.1million... so I assume it made x5 as much? Something like $18,000?
I came across this video in my algorithm. Started in 2011 and it was just a channel for bands I loved. Tried a few things here and there but was stuck around 300 subscribers. Changed my channel to lipsinging to songs I love and making shorts. Right now I'm up to about 1349 and now they lowered hours to 3000 so I'm hoping it gets there. I do release multiple videos a day though. But loving the chance to earn revenue from this. Fingers crossed this works out in my favor 😀
Subscribed! I got tired of YT so-called experts and gurus, and you’re the exact opposite of that. No fluff, no needless teasing, and straight to the point. And I’m sure I’ll learn a lot from your personal finance videos, too 😉
Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.
Investors should be cautious about their exposure and be wary of new buys, especially during inflation. Such high yields in this recession is only possible under the supervision of a professional or trusted advisor.
This is superb! Information, as a noob it gets quite difficult to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this are you a pro investor?
I stopped trying to predict market outcomes based on chart studying after 5 years of uncertainty. Not having a mentor caused me 5 years of pain. I learned to follow the market's direction and keep it simple with discipline.
The best thing is to live completely backwards and pay zero attention to all these models “THEY” say you have to get to “Retirement”. At the age of 8 I started drifting away from common knowledge to thought and doing all theee things. I live in a industrial area on the coast of Texas where every man is groomed to think you have to work at these plants, marry the girl that shows you a little interest in school, breed with said girl, have a never ending trick note that last 40 years, pay a mortgage, when there equity in your house borrow money to pay off the credit cards your wife maxed out, drink cheap beer, watch football, loose whatever hobby (if you ever had one), be boring as hell.
I am thinking of starting a channel, and know that I have excellent skills. But Zero skills in anything else. Friends are pushing me to do it, but am so unsure of how to get there. I love making Sugar Flowers, and have researched the market, and no one does what I do. You are American and I am from the UK, so sales will be different. I am not sure what kit to buy, and what preparation I need to do before hand? Like do I need a business plan?
Man, I still remember that one video about selling on Etsy when your channel was around 5k. What I liked about it was the clarity. You managed to make me understand better about how the commission works and gave your honest insights about it in an interesting way.
Do a side hustle if you like it, though. I work full time as an engineer, but I also have a business making wedding films on the side and I can essentially double my income during the busy wedding season. I also take random jobs from time to time for photography or video. I don't really do it for the extra money, though. I do it because I love photography and filmmaking.
That's fantastic! I agree, lots of reasons to do a side hustle but also NOT to do a side hustle. If you enjoy doing it and don't really have income as your driving reason, then even better because you get paid to do something you enjoy.
