I see a ton of other Side Hustle videos on RU-vid; most of them seemingly just trying to get lots of clicks/views and maybe feed you into their paid subscription where they give whatever worked for them. You're different. You have a very educated perspective and I've already found more value in just the 2 videos of yours that I've watched, than all the rest of your competition. I hope your channel does exceedingly well, as it should. You are providing a lot of value for free, and well-presented content. Cheers to you, Will!
What??!! I GUATANTEE you, hes an affilliate for ALL the recomended websites/programs hes recomending, Hence why hes recommending them? He's not taken all the time to make this video out of the kindness of his heart, I assure you. Hes JUST like all the rest
@@guidryaquatics You can still make money in an ethical way so there’s absolutely nothing wrong with affiliate links as long as you recommend something you’d use for yourself and genuine like. Also, he doesn’t paint any future endeavor as get rich in 3 days like a lot of other people do, those just want your money.
Thank you for sharing! 💗✨ I watched a million videos on how to sell on Etsy and kept finding they all didn’t disclose certain parts of the process. I came across your video and was so relieved to finally have found someone to just tell it like it is and let us decide for ourself a given allll the information. When I saw this video I was stoked! You a real one 👏💯 I’m definitely going to be watching and sharing all your other videos.
These are good side hustles however none of them is a $1000 per day opportunities, even the RU-vid channel is not that guaranteed, most of them make 0$. William, you started good but now I see you are adding catch phrases to the titles or the thumbnail to get clicks. Please refrain from doing so. That " up to $1000 a Day" is not an honest phrase.
Most drone pilot gig sites require a fairly expensive drone. Photogrammetry requires an even more expensive drone to get the quality the clients expect.
In the Field Agent side hustle, you should calculate the expenses to drive to the required place or any other kind of expense you need to accomplish the task. So the $5 or $7 are less.
All of these Field Agent "jobs" probably only pay enough that they only make sense if the job is located in a place where you will be going to be anyway, otherwise gas money will eat up the payment. But if you're going to be there anyway....
Couldn’t agree more with #7! I was so hesitant to start my RU-vid channel because I self-eliminated before even trying to start in 2020. I always said “No one would watch what I made; They won’t like me; I don’t know what people want to see” I couldn’t have been more wrong. I quickly discovered the secret to content creation: **If you love what you make, so will others, and they’ll come back again and again.** Depending on what you want to do determines your initial start up expenditure, but that passive income will quickly make up for it when you build a following. You build a following by being genuine, consistent, and helpful. Learn to make good thumbnails (RU-vid tutorials) and learn good title making and other effects and you WILL grow. So glad I found your channel, my friend. This is really great stuff!
All signs point to 2023 being a year of significant economic hardship for the entire nation. Put your cash to use straight away to increase its value. I was aware that I needed to invest. I had no idea how quickly a few thousand dollars a month would go up. Though it is. Since 2020, I've made about $600,000.
any time I have ever filed anything out for user interviews I have never been able to get into a group even when they email me saying fill out for this one I would be a great fit nothing ever comes of it.
Oh my gosh! I did the house picture gig for the bank after I got out of my day job. It was fun! But I only earned $600 and it took a lot of driving and uploading pictures that night (5 pictures per house and a three page information survey). I got paid $3 per house and did 5 a night. It was 15 years ago so they pay more now. So it wasn't worth my time financially, but it was a fun 3 months. I took my dog with me and it was nice bonding time with her.
Uber eats with a bicycle would be a good side hustle. If you enjoy cycling and want the exercise it could be fun way of getting exercise and getting paid.
I know, seems to be opposite messages! The most recent video, though, is "if you want to get rich." If all you want is some extra cash, then side hustles are fine.
The part where you spoke about investments and healthy risk got to me. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not apply the principles, although achieving this requires a certain level of expertise. I just don't know how they do it, I have about $109k to begin with.
Thank you, I am sure your intentions are good. However as I watch the many many U-tube video's with people touting side hustles, every time I look into one there always seems to be something that make's it either not worth while or its a heck of a lot harder than described. Just for example, your number 7 idea, start a You Tube channel. Sure you can start one easy enough, however in order to make money with it, you have to qualify and be accepted to You-tubes "partner program". And that takes quite a bit of time and effort...about 6 months.
I just found your channel 24 hours ago. I subscribed and have already watched 3-4 videos. I like your style and content. Congratulations on finding your niche. BTW, How are the Chickens 🐓 & Bees 🐝 going?
Thank you I have listened to a few of your videos and yes I hit the like button also subbed , Love your no nonsense approach. Question re RU-vid do you get paid every time your video is watched and liked?
There is ALWAYS something out there for any of us. The hard part might be finding it, so do research and try things until you find it. The only thing that guarantees failure is to NOT keep working at it.
Photogrammetry is NOT as simple as you make it out to be. The post processing of the created 3D models can some times require a few hours or more of adjusting the post processing to get useable results. And that's with the commercial software, the free / non subscription ones are pretty lame.
ACK! I'm not so sure RU-vid doesn't have some of the same problems you mentioned in your Etsy video - low barrier to entry, huge competition. and most RU-vidrs aren't making any money to speak of? Hope I'm wrong. Would love to see you do a video on "RU-vid as a side hustle" with the same type of ROI analysis as your Etsy video. ANYTHING can be great and satisfying as a hobby-even Etsy.
Awesome! Thank you! Maybe I'll add some dancing in the next video to liven it up.... actually, I did, sort of! Check it out and you'll see what I mean!
Good ideas and vid, but You said at the beginning that they were arranged from paying the least to the most and RU-vid was last indicated it could pay the most. For me YT is like your ETSY video not so much in all the fees but my experience has been it is hard to be successful and make the big bucks. I've been on YT and making videos consistently for several years and have newbie made it past the chump change $$$. Never have figured out why as when I am around my community in the real world I have instant recognition. I juts think its unrealistic for the vast majority of YTubers to make it at the level you indicated as the highest in your list. Certainly below the drone pilot , Clarity, maybe even dog walker. Useful video none the less
Hi and thank you. Do these side hustles work as well if you do not live in the USA / have no bank account in the USA? With most of the hustles it seems you need to be a USA resident with a bank account and a limited. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I really appreciate the research you've done but its seems like these are gigs you found from searches and don't have a real experience with. Might be worth while to track down some people and do a recap stating the experience of people who are actually doing each of these. What benefits they got from the job and what obstacles they faced.
Hi William, very interesting video and certainly well argued. Although i do have a question. Since i am Italian can these jobs be done in Italy ? Thank you.
No double-speak. I said "up to $1,000 per day", I didn't say they all pay that much. And for sure you could make $1,000 per day with some of them if you hustle.
@@TheBestWill i used to work @ state farm insurance office & i can tell you FOR SURE we used to pay the guy $35 per house for photos ( we used the same guy everytime though ) back in 2006-2009 so I'm sure its HIGHER now. Also there's very specific things you're looking for when taking the pictures i.e. violations to the insurance policy so RANDOM people shouldn't be taking those photos IMO. After state farm I BRIEFLY worked @ Allstate which was ran by a 23yr old supervisor & she ILLEGALLY had the customers send in photos of their own homes lol.
The full title was "Want to be Rich? Don't Start a Side Hustle". That was about focussing on one thing and sticking with it instead of flitting from one idea to another and not really working it. This video (the one you're commenting on) is for all the people who are only looking for a side hustle to earn some extra money on the side.... which is what most people seem to want. Satisfying two different needs with two different videos.
Do you have any recommendations for good routes to go in the software industry? I have a bachelors in accounting and i currently work a fully remote job in commercial banking, but id like to double my income. Currently, im at 48k. I see a lot of people in the software industry making absurd amounts of money and I'd like to hit 100k in the next few years.
Every country is different, so it's hard to offer advice. Also, it depends on your skills and what kind of jobs you're looking for. I know this is a boring answer, but I'd start by doing a lot of Google searches for remote jobs to see what you can find, including reading articles on the topic, since they may mention how other people are doing it.
So my takeaway is pay someone to program a “side hustle app/website” have people do a ton of screwing around to get verified to do these little pay out tasks and claim a percentage for providing the service, then make yourself a drink and sit back because you’ve just boomed the boomer method of exploiting desperate workers. 🙃
Don’t know why the comments are so positive. Video is spammed with affiliate links for garbage products and he is clearly reading the scripts word for word.. Disappointed in the quality of this video and makes me question his credentials.
I have nothing to do with the ads that Google puts on my video. Regarding reading a script... I have no script. I did the research on these ideas and am talking to you (the audience) about them off the top of my head. So you are wrong in literally everything in your criticism. Good job: 100% score!
You either sell your time directly (someone pays you $x / hour (or in some other unit) to do a task OR you work for free to build something and then hope to sell it over and over again in some form, whether it's a digital product or a physical product. Either way you have to do work. It's just that the second example is the one that can possibly make you a lot more money. The trick is to figure out what you can make once that you can then sell repeatedly.
Plus I GUATANTEE you, hes an affilliate for ALL the recomended websites/programs, Hence why hes recommending them? He's not taken all the time to make this video out of the kindness of his heart, I assure you
Hi William, I stumbled upon your channel when it was suggested to me by RU-vid, probably because I’ve been watching POD and Etsy/Shopify content lately. Judging by your videos so far and the chasm that separates your “side hustle” videos from your far less popular finance vids, it’s probably fair to say that you have discovered RU-vid’s secret sauce: topic selection. Passive income and side hustling have never been hotter, so it’s no wonder your videos about SVB, taxes, and home prices pale in comparison as far as views go. I’m not a “RU-vidr” but I’d like to suggest (or request?) videos on the following topics: - Regular updates where you reveal your RU-vid earnings and the associated metrics (you clearly know and love numbers) - Analysis of Amazon affiliate earnings and where the highest potential seems to be (I can actually contribute my own data if you’d like it) - Another video like this one, but focused entirely on low-barrier passive income and the earnings potential versus expected investment of time and effort Your presentation style and focus on data instead of hype are a great combo. Please continue to do what the hype artists won’t: Reveal the mathematical and practical realities of “working” online. I know you’ll do great! Best of luck. - Michael, Seoul, South Korea
I thought it was by order of increasing income potential and I'm sorry but 99% of people starting a youtube won't make anywhere near 100$/h let alone 500$/h!! It takes forever to make videos and to grow your channel and I'm sure you know that perfectly! So Yeah, a YT channel is definitely a potentially good side hustle if you know what you doing (most wanna be youtubers don't, myself included) BUT not the highest paying one unless you're MrBeast or someone that knows how to create Viral content and how to make a profit from it ;)
The title of that video is "Do you want to be rich? Then don't start a side hustle." It's all about the desired goal. If your goal is just to earn extra cash, then a side hustle is great.
They're not really intended as jobs, and yes, a lot of people are in challenging situations and looking for ways to make some extra money. It would be more productive for you to offer suggestions of good money-making alternatives rather than just criticize.
@@TheBestWill Nobody got rich by walking with dogs or driving an uber. Instead someone should develop a useful skill, I've seen a lot of videos like this one in which they sell the notion of easy money doing small things like that
Seriously I'm gonna pay $60 to find a part time job that I may be lucky to make $60. I've seen the jobs on flex job they're useless. It's another scam website. They just want you to sell their website so the philly of marketing scam see all this trick in the book. I'm not gonna pay anybody to work that makes no sense. You need to stop making these videos stop hiding behind your little cute sweater and glasses you're cruel
You're entitled to your own opinion, but don't be an online bully. Don't hide behind your Internet anonymity to be rude and mean. Civility is not too much to ask for. If you can't manage that, perhaps consider therapy.
