Thank you for the english subtitles! I recently finished reading Sweet Bean Paste by Durian Sugekawa and have been so curious about dorayaki, which I cannot find in my city. So I'm gonna make my own! In the book, this character called Tokue talks about how bean paste is the soul of dorayaki, and how you can tell the feelings of the person making it from the taste of anko. Similar to what your father said about anko revealing the personality of its maker :-) Have a good weekend!
