I hate the screaming eagle retro. Never liked it, never will. To me, nothing is more beautiful than the 80s early 90s away jerseys. Its just so beautiful
Belleville should use the angry senator logo from the front of the jerseys they had when they were in Binghamton as their primary logo. However, they absolutely should keep their "B" logo jerseys that they have as they are fantastic. The Wranglers have a side profile of Blasty as a shoulder patch, and as the primary logo on an alternate jersey. That should be the primary logo. It makes a lot more sense with the team name Wranglers and it looks a whole lot better than the W. The Roadrunners use a variation of the old Phoenix Roadrunners logo that dates back at least to the WHA if not farther back and used through various versions and modifications through the years in the IHL and ECHL. They do have an alternate Kachina style roadrunner that is interesting.
I don’t think you understand how some of these work, the less detailed ones most of the time are wraps that are done quickly while their actual mask is being painted by Daveart or whoever is going to paint it
Blackhawks new collar looks far worse than what they had. I hope Fanatics gets rid of that weird striping that randomly disappears on the front of the collar. It looks so bad. I would refuse to buy the jersey if my team got stuck with that monstrosity.
I completely agree on the Islanders awful collar on their home look. The collar on the Reverse Retro is so much cleaner. You're right, the Wild collar looks just as bad.
The whole reason the NJD Heritage isn’t fondly remembered was because the team always bloody lost in them. I love this jersey but man if it wasn’t for last year, they would’ve been completely forgotten.
I personally I think the Preds Reverse Retro 2.0 is the best Adidas jersey they had Unfortunately I come to expect my Preds to be at the bottom of most lists, but I personally prefer our jerseys over everyone else’s aside from SJ, Florida, Minnesota, and Seattle
In the same way that the Jets should go with those two jerseys full time, once the Blues did their Winter Classic against the wild with the cream and light blue aways there was no doubt in my mind that the '67 throw backs should be the normal set. So clean.
Great analysis here. Additionally, I feel like 1997 is the commonly cited starting point of the curse, because it lets the person conveniently ignore that at least 5 of the 6 Cup winners prior to that year touched their respective conference championship trophy (could be 6 of 6 if there's any reliable footage/info on whether the 93 Canadiens did or not). ETA: There's footage of the 93 Wales final, Guy Carbonneau did in fact lift the Wales trophy. 6 out of 6 confirmed.
