My favorite film, "A cartoon man climbs a live-action boy" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XblT22uhlAY.htmlfeature=shared aired on March 15 1973, the day before the concert, in episode 0494. was aired for the first time!
A belated 50th anniversary to this live Sesame Street presentation(It’s June 16, 2023 as I post this comment.) Just think, at the time I was four weeks short of turning four, and now I’m 54. How VERY QUICKLY time flies, the older you get.
Muppets in the album are big bird snuffy Grover and Cookie Monster of course but I wish Ernie & Bert and Kermit the frog prairie dawn Oscar the grouch herry monster Sherlock hemlock Farley Lefty the salesman Betty Lou guy smiley Biff Mumford mr Johnson Simon soundman Roosevelt Franklin Harvey kneeslapper frazzle The count & the anything muppets & monsters too!
Bob McGrath was always fun to watch on Sesame Street, and he seemed like a good man to hang out with as well. Rest in peace Bob, and I hope to meet you in the afterlife.
Caroll Spinney said he couldn't use Oscar on stage before conceiving Bruno. Why couldn't he just use the brick wall device here? Is it that Oscar prefers not to leave his trash can?
Nice find! Always great to see stuff that only people who grew up during the early early years of Sesame Street got to experience it. Now my experience with Sesame Street was during the 80's and early 90's of the show. Now to me those are my favorite to me special seasons of the show. Now everyone will have their own opinion of what they call classic but for me the 80's and early 90's to me will be my Classic Sesame Street. I do enjoy the 70's seasons too. Since I didn't grow up with those seasons they aren't my favorite. My two cents.
That would include those like myself, I am of the Old School SS generation. Such fond memories; OF COURSE I remember Cookie Monster’s ever famous signature song “C is for Cookie!”
@@MrJamieMurph4141969 I'm glad that Sesame Street did re-run certain skits from the early early years of the show during the newer seasons that I grew up with. I'm happy to say that there were several songs and Ernie and Bert skits that I at the time didn't know they were from those older seasons. It makes me smile to see skits that I grew up watching that others got to see it for the first time when the episode originally aired.
If only there was more Northern Calloway (David) to see during this clip. I wish that I could watch him sing during this performance. God bless you always!!! Holly in east TN (a girl who will forever love the late beautiful precious masterpiece of a gentleman)
@@kareesingh4428 Thank you. I didn't grow up with this show. Just knew people were looking for this particular episode, and I happened to have it on a VHS of Disney Channel recordings. There's no secret vault of "Dumbo's Circus" in my home.
@@ChipmunkRaccoon3 Ah ...And, of course, the giant daisy (but that's silly). The episode I want to see is the one with the bluegrass band. It's exceptionally rare, even back when this series was airing on TDC. I think I've seen it only twice.
@@MartenFerret I dunno about a giant daisy, but the gang did meet a giant - Big Fred by name. But unlike the giant boy, Big Fred was only seen from the legs down - kinda like Nanny in Muppet Babies.
