Ottawa Canada here. I wanted to be there. Checked the flights four times. First time it was too expensive, second time the price was excellent so I decided to go but didn't book until I knew if my son couldn't get the time off work. When he finally got the ok I went to book and price was over double what it was so we just couldn't do it. 3 days before the show I looked again and the prices were low again but it was too late 😢 maybe next year
Del that festival looked amazing! Wish you were closer. If you ever have a southeast festival maybe I could make it. By the way, what's with the hair bud. Did you forget to ground those strings? Lol jk. Awesome post.

Can I ask you one question about to make my frst own kneck in mahogany.woukd 2#1be easy to work with ,Asin not to much to take of as I dnt have table saw or planer yet .So just trying to figure out what I need to ask as close to size needed with out to much planing etc etc ,no machines yet 😂,Thnks
Del looks like you hit your mark on the festival. Lots of great sounds and it looks like everybody had a ball. Good luck for next year, these things seem to get better every year.
Haha! I wish I was confident enough to walk on stage with one less string than this. It was written on that guitar. It plays a little like an acoustic which made the tapping portion pretty tricky.
Thanks Joe! It was definitely a bit of an eclectic set for me. I didn't really have a "repertoire" prior to Del asking me to play. I'm usually a supporting musician on stage, so being alone on stage was a little outside my comfort zone haha
Del, you know me. I’ve been building, playing, and singing a long time. The older I get, it seems, the more I get into alternative, country, folk, progressive, blue grass music with the CBG. This guy TOTALLY resonates with me. Make double darn sure he’s there next year 🎼🎸❤️
Love that tune, of course I don't think you can go wrong with anything Allison Krauss has done. Here's the bajillion dollar question Del - will you do another one next year?
