I did a bad thing…which actually turned into a good thing. What exactly did i do you ask ??? I cannibalized an instrument that was given to me as a gift and turned it into something that I could actually play. 😜 Im still working on it so expect a few more videos. Hope you Enjoy!

For some of us 3 strings is too many. I'm pretty sure Del can handle more than 6! I vote for a 12 string cbg!

I bought a cheap 6 string guitar and tuned it to gdg and ebe ( making me a double neck 3 string on a 6 string)😊

Wow, what a sound, and so cool looking with these green strings! Did you adjust the action higher than with metallic strings? Especially at the nut? I ask this because I'm planning to cannibalise a violin into a 3 string CBG with nylon strings.🤘

the action is a tad high.. i’ll file the nut down, lower the saddle/bridge and adjust the string spacing … stay tuned!!

I have a x large cigar box ( 16"x10" and 4 inchs high ) and thought about a 6 stringer. But then remembered 6 strings are 3 strings to many. That and I have enough 6 string guitars already. And the fact that my favorite one is a 3 string cigar box that I made for myself, now you have me wondering ...

So I’m building a box guitar and I built the whole thing from raw walnut, box and all.. about to glue the fretboard but my neck has the slightest of bows to it.. high in the center but just barely.. my question is this, will string tension remove some of that, and if not am I totally boned?!? 🫠 Anyone else ever had this issue?! Help 🥺

… if you’re concerned… replace with straight neck. if you can … use a belt sander to level fretboard . flip neck over to reverse bend ?? remove frets to build a fretless slider…

@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar unfortunately the neck is already glued into the box and I’m afraid to sand the “hump” and make the neck any thinner. Was considering a truss rod but idk.. may just have to go back to the belt sander and hope for the best haha 🤞🏻 -thanks man!
