Thankyou for doing this. I do not remember having unlocked all of his memories. Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. But either way I am happy to indulge in some nostalgia. HK-47 was my favorite follower.
It's been about a decade since I've modded the game, but I *think* the mod for the robes is called "K1 JEDI ROBES REPLACEMENT PACK" A quick Google search should get you the download link for it!
After the run in with the leviathan and malak, HK remembers that you were the original owner that sent him into Mandalorian space. The discovery the protagonist is Revan is the stimulus that was needed
It's hilarious to think HK-47 wanted more droids like him in this game when in the sequel he hated that there were more droids like him. Granted those were copies of him.
HK-47's hostile attitude towards it's mass-produced HK-50 successors was because of necessary changes to their assassination and protocol protocols. It also disliked cosmetic change as well. 47 enjoys mayhem, but it strives to achieve as much as possible with as little effort as possible. "When I kill, when I dispatch a target, it is not about wanton destruction. About body count" summarizes well. To it shooting unwary target's head off with blaster with absolute surprise is pinnacle and purpose of existence. To HK-50s random shooting of non-targets is purpose of their existence.
@@vksasdgaming9472 There was also the problem with droids who look like him doing evil meaning he might get a reputation and making his work as an illegal assassination droid much more difficult. But he was less concerned about that the changes in behavior, protocol, and cosmetics.
@@dragonstormx That was also a real concern of his usability as assassin droid. Droids can be painted so trying to downplay suspicion by color of his plating would be quite ineffective. Comically he also detested the fact HK-50s referred to meatbags as "organics".
Lol thanks for the comment, even if it's 8 years later! I'm not sure I'd be good at something like that though. I've always just played to whatever strengths the characters had on their own. I never got creative with them, or even tried different builds for them. I think trying different things like a melee Carth build or a melee Canderous build would be fun, but I don't have any experience trying something like that to confidently make a video about it.
@@yenxin7407 Thanks man. It's my favorite game of all time! I always wanted to record more in it, but I never make the time. Hopefully the rumored remake lives up to the original, would be great to see a new generation of fans.
I'm not 100% sure if this link is correct - its been 10 years since I've modded or messed with KotOR game files lol - but by the looks of it, this K1 Jedi Robes mod looks like the one. www.gamefront(dot)com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic/file/k1-jedi-robes-replacement-pack Download it at your own risk my friend, I can't guarantee your PC isn't going to blow up, but you'll probably be fine!
@@Kevdo92 Wow I didn’t think you’d respond to a comment on such a old video. Kinda of a shot in the dark. But I actually found the mod on Deadlystream.
@@heroicwolves Yeah man no worries lol, kotor is one of my favorite games ever, and I've spent literally thousands of hours messing around with it. I never mind responding to a question here if I can answer it!
It would be a hell of a movie series to show everything this droid did in these memories. Though there would be a bunch of time jumps, because he assassinated literary hundreds of people. Showing each of it would take forever.
I'm certain there would be also negotiations devolving into brawls and firefights because HK-47 enjoys causing mayhem in general and being "faulty" protocol droid is great method of causing mayhem.
To think that, even on evil playthroughs, I would always skip all that "lame shit" with the sand people colony translation on Tatooine. I was always puzzled by the layout of their facility, too, as I always found it lame to have to tediously run around to clear out the place. I don't know how I managed to miss that huge quest on literally every playthrough as a kid. Also, I missed HK-47 in his entirety. I remember seeing him at the store, but I was never interested in him.
I know that I am years late, but some content just speaks for itself. It's great that someone made sure to record and compile the story of HK47 as told by this game, as I am sure most people wouldn't be able to see it otherwise.
Man, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I had planned to record all of the characters conversations in this game. It was, and always has been, one of my favorite games. Wish I'd kept up with that original plan haha. Crazy to think that was almost 9 years ago... Maybe sometime in the future... 😁
There's a widescreen mod for it! It's been years since I checked into it, but I think it's still around on the internet somewhere. If you Google search kotor widescreen mod, you should be able to find it. It's a little more involved than you'd hope, but it's not too hard to set up. You also have to get higher res hud for it, but the mod should have instructions for everything you need.
This does make me think which of the droids of Star Wars was most successful character? If Antony Daniels didn't pull off that performance, Star Wars as a franchise likely dies. But HK-47 is such a great fan favourite playing the straight faced humour of a droid psychoopath. Chopper had a lot of personality and made me laugh. Tough call.
@@vksasdgaming9472 I’m a little confused. I didn’t mind that everyone died in Rogue One. Star Wars often glosses over sone of the more grown up parts of a story.
@@nickokona6849 It was WW2-action like The Dirty Dozen, but it was in set in Star Wars. In that genre main characters do not tend to survive through film even if they succeed in their mission.
lol noob battle, you should be using guld milla as a ramar, stars heal faster also and does that spread needle have migid? thats not cool lol, nothing a 4slot dark/resist cant stop tho lol. but cool vid i miss this game on xbox so much
soon to be new player, these videos will have me alittle more pepared before i play, haven't bout it so thats why i say soon to be. thank you for your video's, see you possibly in game. :)
Hey, I hope it helps! I wanted to make more, but I've just been too busy to continue them. I hope you enjoy the game though, it's really unlike any game that's out there right now.
