Afternoon Tea at Burj Al Arab was a disappointing experience. Indulging in an afternoon tea at the iconic Burj Al Arab in Dubai was a highly anticipated moment for me. With its prestigious seven-star reputation, I had high hopes for impeccable service that would truly be a work of art. However, my experience fell far short of perfection. While the dishes served during the tea were delectable and expertly prepared, the service left much to be desired. For instance, no one served or replenished our tea. After the first course, the waiter took my husband and kid’s pot and cup of tea and failed to bring it back. It was quite confusing and disappointing. The lack of knowledge about tea, tea etiquette, and attention continued throughout our tea session. To make matters worse, our table was left with a pile of dirty dishes, and we felt completely forgotten. When it was time to pay and leave a tip for our waiter, who we wanted to help out, we had to flag them down ourselves and wait for a staggering 20 minutes. This experience has left me hesitant to return or stay at the Burj Al Arab in the future. Despite the impressive culinary offerings, the lackluster service overshadowed what could have been a truly memorable experience.
