Welcome to the unofficial Oputa Panel RU-vid Channel.
The Human Rights Violations Investigation Commission (HRVIC) - popularly referred to as the Oputa Panel - was setup by the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo's administration in 1999 and headed by retired Chief Justice Chukwudifu Oputa to establish the causes, nature, and extent of human rights violations between 15 January 1966 and 28 May 1999, to identify perpetrators, determine the role of the state in the violations and to recommend means to pursue justice and prevent future occurrences in Nigeria.

Nigeria as a Nation and Nigerians in general should be grateful to GOD ALMIGHTY for giving us His Covenant Son Rtd Four-Star General Olusegun Matthew Aremu Obasanjo our two-time President as a Military Officer and as A Civilian President for setting this OputaPanel. We can't be grateful enough. This is the Forum that has exposed the evil called military coups, double standards, dubiousness, corruption and the overall regional/religious distrusts that have plagued this nation. Nigerians should strive to watch these Panels as well see the erudite interviewers/ interrogators astute and informed to the brim to wade into facts, weigh in and out, and open our minds and eyes. GOD BLESS ALL MEN AND WOMEN involved in making This Panel as credible as the name behind it. Justice Oputa, we are proud of you and we know Gen Obasanjo is prouder for he knows the capacity and capabilities you were endowed with in analyzing, ruling and recommending. I am proud, though an unshakeable Biafran Nigerian.
Chai, y is it that intelligents people like mustapha can not become our president! really mustapha failed Nigerians for misusing that unique opportunity to becoming the president of Nigeria when abacha died! he had every opportunity to take over government but he missed it.
Control of English words 100% , intelligent and sound 100% , we will always love u mustapha, GOD has surely vindicated u from all the gangs up of the wicked enemies.
Diya was not supposed to he a soldier..he was too weak to be an army officer..someone crying in front of Abacha...Look at Fadipe, very bold, courageous and truthful. Just like Orkar..Bamaiyi played on the intelligence of Diya..
You can't believe it that all this happened in this country where a president honored invitation to answer for human rights violation. I salute you President Obasanjo; I salute you Oputa Panel; I salute you defence council represented by Barrister Falana
So sad seeing how they deliberately humiliated Gen. Diya. It was all a set up by the dreaded Abacha and his cohorts to shove him and his fellow tribes men out of the way cos they were uncomfortable with them. Sadly the Gen didnt recover nor heal from it till his death. Rest on Gen.
