Ever since SOUTH AFRICAN teams have been participating in the European competitions, The European teams have have considerably improved. Just look at the French and the Irish. WHO should they thank... The SOUTH AFRICAN players and Coaches...most naturally
THE European teams and public who complain about SOUTH AFRICAN teams and players are just plain sore LOSERS. They should be thankful because now they actually reach the quarter finals of major competitions.
In gods name WHATTTTT?????,only for that??????,aaaah that ref have to go,he seriously needs to go,immediately, that call is so ridicilous,oh wait a min it might be cause hes South African is it????????
I'm not a Bok fan at all but omg such a phenomenal monster team best era of South African rugby that there's ever been being an Englishman it's an incredibly hard thing to say lolz Congratulations South Africa deservedly well done 👏
I think it's anti ecological, tiring and unfair for both Europeans and SA teams 'cause the journey is very long and in consequence of that we saw a lot of B teams being aligned. It's counterproductive in terms of quality and equity. I don't see the point of it all. Money?
Far less travel for SA teams vs when they were in Super Rugby, not to mention far less time difference Most complaining in my mind has come from British fans, Irish fans have welcomed the increase in quality. I’ve seen some great games at the RDS with the SA teams, and the league’s now a proper competition - previously we used to walk games with our C team
Wales, heres ur opportunity to maul the boks. Its a lame bunch of noobs, tired boks with niggles and even marx returning for a first trot since rwc. Ireland, you will have no excuses and nor shall we.
Always funny as an African travelling in Europe to be told to Go Home. We tried telling that to you when you arrived in your ships, but you decided to stay and change our language, our cultural, our economy, our lives. Now it is our turn 🤣 Ke Nako. Relax, just having a laugh...
dont confuse whites with gyus, you are confused presently, there were/are more white slaves than black, dont get yr ambitions confused with yr abilities either
South African side don't have the budgets to buy squads needed to win the URC and the Investec Champions Cup. Here is the breakdown for each club in regards to how many internationally caped players they have in their squad and their combined test caps. Leinster 29 players 863 caps Benneton 37 players 695 caps Glasgow 28 players 671 caps Edinburgh 25 players 632 caps Munster 22 players 542 caps Ospreys 18 players 486 caps Sharks 18 players 478 caps Ulster 18 players 326 caps Dragons 16 players 297 caps Cardiff 17 players 282 caps Zebre 18 players 245 caps Bulls 15 players 231 caps Scarlets 17 players 218 caps Connaught 10 players 197 caps Stormers 12 players 194 caps Lions 3 players 60 caps Leinster has 862 caps all four the SA teams combined have 963 caps. The one thing the SA team do have is a massive rugby factory with tens of thousands of very talented schoolboy rugby players. And with more black communities starting to play rugby the talent pool is just going to grow. I love that we are playing in Europe. Our weak economy will always be a problem for us but we have the talent pool to make up for it. Will any of our teams ever be able to do the double? I doubt it, if they do it will take a long time before it will happen. Super Rugby was a sprint, playing in Europe is a marathon. We must still find our way and work out which games to rest your players and which games to play your best match day squad. In Super Rugby you could play your best team every week because the comp was less competitive and fewer games. SR was 19 games to win the final, URC and Investec Cup 29 games to win both.
@@ianvanstraaten8312 If we had the money to bring back Thomas Du Toit, PSDT, Faf, Kolbe, Kriel, De Allende, RG, Lood, Kwagga, Kolisi, Pollard, the three Du Preez brothers , Green, Augustus, Kleyn, Bernard Janse Van Rensburg, Rhule, Leyds, Madosh, Jenkins, Schickerling, Van Der Mescht, Reinach, Marx to mane a few. Do you think it wouldn't make a difference?
Theyve got all our players and coaches...the only ones moaning Id imagine are the old farts at the top as usual...all the others know we add massive value
THATS WHY KIWIS ARE CONFUSED ABOUT WCF RED, THERE IS CERTAIN TEAMS AND PLAYERS GET PENILIZED WORSE THAN OTHERS, UNTIL WOLRD CUPS WHRE THE WORLD IS WATCHING THEN WHEN EVERYONE IS PENILIZED EQUALY THEIR CONFUSED.
I love what SA teams bring to European Rugby. It's def something slightly different and keeps the standard very high. The organisers of the events just need to sort out travel better.
Jeepers, in what comp is that not a red card - a joke comp. Pathetic of the Ref, the ARs, the TMO and the governing body. Red card plus 6 weeks ban min.
Leinster fan here ! I'm absolutely delighted that the South African teams are playing in the URC! A great addition to the competition. It's all good. I don't know any Irish rugby fans, and I do know a lot of them, every one of them is happy to see SA sides in it. Let's be honest, with the exception of Glasgow Warriors, looking at the rest of the Scottish and Welsh opposition, Irish clubs would have no competition. We need the South Africans to make it interesting. Look at the top 8 today. One Scottish, One Welsh, One Italian, Three Irish and Two South African. If the Lions had a bit of luck , it could have been 3 South African and no Welsh. Look, no point in listening to these people , in fact it's better to completely ignore them so they'll go away. I do have one criticism though. For some reason SA fans seem to have this inbuilt victim mentality. Never noticed until you joined the URC, particularly blaming refs when you lose as if we are not all on the wrong end of a bad refereeing decision at some point. It would be better to just drop that and play the game without the moaning. It's probably the only negative that should be addressed as Saffas are getting a bit of a reputation for it amongst other countries fans.
To be fair we saffas are not the only ones that has the supposed victim mentality. Look at RWCup the French, English and AB fans. Some referees even completely quit
Unfortunately we have a very vocal minority online that makes the rest of us look bad. In general the ones that follow the sports religiously over here don't comment much online, at least the ones I know.
@@brianmsahin we also have a reputation for being blatantly honest and say what we think while other countries will tell you what they think you want to hear. If you do business with Dutch and Belgians and even Africans, you will esperience that too - you know where you stand.
SA needs television rights, we know you Irish don't understand this but without it or rugby is doomed! Our government doesn't support rugby, it supports soccer and our unions are all strapped for cash without TV rights. URC in its current makeup is a very very bad business model for South Africa. Food for thought! After all it's our juniors that suffer the most without TV rights
Robert South Africa is a little short of cash. So if you play in Europe there’s a chance there might more cash of the clubs in South Africa. It is a delightful to see the South African teams in the URC. Then they play in the champions cup. They just have to sort their travel arrangements. Remember Europe and South Africa are almost in the same time zone + or - an hour.
Are you talking about club rugby? What's the point you are making ? Of course we don't complain about having great players in our clubs. Why would we complain? Great clubs attract great players. It's the same in every international club sport from football to basketball, rugby league and rugby. Not sure what you're trying to convey here except to confirm that other fans aren't moaning as much.
@@brianmsahin Did you watch the clip above? Apparently there is an outcry because Saffa teams are competing in the URC. My point is that there seems to be a bit of a double standard. It's ok for Saffa's to contribute in the club sides but not for Saffa teams to take part in the URC. I think there is a massive benefit to South African rugby and I would like to think it also benefits rugby in the Northern hemisphere. Looking at one of your earlier comments I think you agree with that statement.
@@stephenlouwbiokineticist4127 I did watch it , that's why I commented mate. Did you not even read my main comment? I haven't heard anyone complaining about SA teams in the URC, least of all the Irish clubs, sure we'd have hardly any real competition if South African teams weren't in it. This is my point. Someone thinks they have to make a video about a few people who aren't real rugby fans complaining about SA teams in Europe, again, acting the victim when 99% of people including me, if you read my comment, are delighted to see the likes of the Stormers, Bulls, Lions, Sharks in it. There was absolutely no reason to make this video except to whinge and moan about a non issue.
@@stephenlouwbiokineticist4127Here's my comment about this video just in case you can't see it. Leinster fan here ! I'm absolutely delighted that the South African teams are playing in the URC! We don't belong in a European fckall Bob, period. We ran away from the antipodean competition because we couldn't compete and never won in super rugby for ages. Our rugby is shockingly poor in the championship games and our players are injured or unavailable because playing for clubs. Stop with the asshole comments that everyone can see through.
You cannot be serious! A red card over this. I've witnessed boys playing rougher at a ten year old boys birthday party! Apologies! I keep forgetting this is the new improved version of Rugby Union.
Its a clear red. You will never get away with this especially in modern day rugby with things in slow motion. Wiese should know better. Once you lift a player like that tipping in. You just asking for trouble
Started off playing Rugby League at 8, Union at 11 and finished off at 35. Played on several continents and Pacific Islands, I've fractured a leg and had my 'voice changed' in one game from 'Bass to Falsetto'. It's a rough sport, though in modern times I believe many of the sofly sofly law changes have made the game more dangerous, rather than commit to a tackle, players hesitating are causing incidents which were rarely seen. Having said that, I thought Jasper's tackle to be about as deplorable as I've seen on a rugby field. Old school rucking used to be bad, I've been stamped on, kicked and gouged but lifting someone upright and dropping them on their head is about as bad as it gets.
Why do you need to quote your credentials? You’re a normal bloke like the rest of us on here. Only difference is most of us are going wtf are you talking about, he’s lifted him all of 40 cm and he’s hardly made contact with his head. No 20 coming in from the side is more dangerous than Wiese’s actions. Stupid of Wiese to give the tmo an opportunity to make a call. Red card pffff ok sure. But 6 week ban? Are you mad?
For those supporter deeply connected to Bok rugby, 1995 was great at the time, the disappointment of poor decisions in the 1999 RWC and a short recovery to glory under Jake in 2007, simply have been surpassed by the 2019 RWC efforts but crowned by the 2023 RWC Bok team, the greatest display from all in the team. I just cannot get it out of my thoughts when the camera’s focussed on Bongi after the whistle of the French semi, he had played his heart out, led the team after a great start by Kolisi. Talk about playing above 100%, I salute you.
