Yes, he’s terminally ill. He had cystic fibrosis and when he said “it’s finished now” he was talking about the list he had made. Before dying, he wanted to accomplish certain things -like his mom finishing the song she wrote when he was born- and everybody helped him to accomplish it. After he says that, Andrew (the Angel of Death) takes him to heaven. It’s from the tv show: Touched By An Angel. Hope that helps!
I am testifying to the truth promise of god who is. In heaven and on earth because I do not need to be in the darkness because I’ve lived my life through Wynonna Judd and her character Audrey and how much she loved her son and I honestly do trust of feeling so free
I remember watching this episode when it originally aired. Thanks to START TV, i often see the episode again. And I stil sob. Every. Single. Time. I love Wynonna and this song, but I cry harder now since John Dye (Andrew) passed away so young.
I'm 17 and I listen to this song everyday because I am completely brocken. I don't live for me anymore I live for my little sister. She is the chord that keeps me going. I don't wanna live anymore I am depleted
No matter how tearful I am at the absolutely glorious music from this scene. I simply break every time I see Monica crossing "Go to Heaven" off of Petey's list. That is simply the cherry on top of this scene for me.
