my daughter died from Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 14. This song and Touched by an Angel episode have very special meaning to me. My daughter's name- Christina Marie DeCicco. She died 12-30-1997 and I miss her more than anything.....

I know it's just a show but it takes a strong person to continue singing when your son just died right in front of you ....God Bless her!!

Is the first time for me to hear this and it's a very moving song. Man i sure do miss 'Touched by an angel'. Wish they would put more inspiring shows on like it, instead of all the violence and crap.

I will never ever forget this episode, and especially this scene. I am sobbing again as I do every time I see this. I was blessed to see Wynona in concert two years ago. My grandma always played this song when i was just a little boy, she passed away when I was 10. The only memories of my grandma were going over to her house and playing cards and singing to this song, it was her favorite song. I wish I got to know my grandma more but this song gives me a good idea about the person she was. I love this song and the message it sends! RIP Grandma!

I remember watching this when i was a kid and how i cried. More than a decade later, i watched it and still got to me.

This song is so powerful, and the way that John Dye's character Andrew looks so sad and sincere, when he takes Petey home to Heaven. I love how Monica, she nods to the Petey's mom and lets her know that Petey moved on, and went to heaven, As a child, I used to watch the show w/ my mom, Now as an adult, I see how this song is so beautiful and powerful, and everytime I see this clip and hear the song...I have tears streaming down, thank you to the cast of this episode, you did great :)

There has never been a movie or tv show that had me bawling like this one did.

When I originally watched this I was a bit younger, and I thought it was "kinda sad"...now when I do, I cry like a baby. There are people out there who've had close loved ones die; I'd imagine this episode truly touched them even more than it touched me.

I will always testify to Gods amazing Love.

Like many, I recall this episode of “Touched By an Angel” based on the terminal illness of a boy and the mothers efforts to write a poem which was named “Testify to Love.” The episode was clearly my favorite and one of my all time favorite shows. As I recall it was aired in the 1980s and from the first time I saw it it always evoked a very strong sense of emotion. Regardless of your gender I know my family and I cried over it. The themes were very potent. Years later my wife passed on in 2017. For over a month this was the recording and video I would watch daily. Somehow I could relate her struggles with diabetes and congestive heart failure and finally kidney dialysis to this episode and to the song and video Testify to Love. I just lost a friend to Covid and just finished dining with a mutual friend when the name Della Reese surfaced with Touched By an Angel and Testify to Love. There is no doubt about it this series lives in my heart and this episode is forever ingrained in my heart.

This episode is one of the absolute best of the entire series! Anyone else have the Touched by an Angel soundtrack?? I got it shortly after this episode aired and it has this song on it. :)

Wynonna has the most beautiful amazing voice!!!

First time I saw this as a child several years ago sent shivers down my spine. Still has the same effect today. I applaud the writers. God bless 'em with their work. :)

This *still* remains to be one of my top favorite episodes. Unfortunately John Dye, aka Andrew, the angel of death died in 2011, I really miss Touched By An Angel. Although I've never been a real religious person the stories that the show depicted and told were heart-wrenching and magical. I loved all the cast members as they were beautifully chosen. Della Reese as Tess was the best to give the Tough Love speeches, and every time Roma Downey as Monica would give the tender "God loves you..." speech I always cried. Always. Never failed. This show will always be a great staple in my life and childhood.

This is the most lovely way to end one's life-- departing the world with a choir and loved ones... Simply beautiful.

This is the only episode of this show that ever touched me. I had 3 siblings who never saw their 10th birthday, two never even saw their first birthday. No child should ever have to live with an illness that robs them of their life.

I just wanted to point out the scene near the beginning after Wynonna sings "every corner of creation." There are some anxious expressions, and then smiles. Well, if you watch the entire episode, when Wynonna wrote this song she hit a writer's block at "...every corner of creation." She just couldn't figure out how to continue. And Petey was sorry for her. And so were the two angels, Andrew and Monica. So when she finally sang the song live and got to that point, everyone was pleased when she continued with "Testify to love." That explains the reactions. So sweet.

I remember watching this episode when it originally aired. Thanks to START TV, i often see the episode again. And I stil sob. Every. Single. Time. I love Wynonna and this song, but I cry harder now since John Dye (Andrew) passed away so young.

This song got me thru a really rough time my mother had had a stroke and every time I hear it always makes me cry!!

I just caught this as a daytime TV show in 2023. I'm an atheist and it had me crying. It was truly moving. TBAA is really a lovely show.

My dad passed away when I was 12.. and I saw this episode a few years after and everytime I hear it I can't help but tear up because I always think of him.

This song brings a message of hope and Joy into the heart and spirit of the Christian that believes, loves and has faith in a living savior. As a non-believer it's difficult to comprehend because that spiritual side is missing. I'm not criticizing or even judging you, it's not my place. But, as a believer; if I am testifying to the love and grace I've been given, I also have joy, peace and hope, even amidst the trials and tears. That's what this song is referring to.

This was one of their best episodes. Very well-written with great actors and actresses. What I like most about Touched By an Angel is that it gave people a realistic depiction of God. So many people have a distorted perception of who God is or who they think He is supposed to be. Life doesn't turn out "happily ever after" just because you believe in God. God helps you get through the ups and downs of life. That is the point of believing in Him and have a more fulfilled life through Him.

I know that John Dye had an Angel with him when he went to be with Our Heavenly Father.

Every time my nieces stayed with me when they were little they would want to watch this and they would cry. Their auntie would cry too.😢

Beautiful song! I'm catholic and believe all good people go to heaven- doesn't matter if you're stright, gay, of another race or religion - so long as you respect children, animals and life in general and have a good heart/soul you're always welcome.

I listened to this song again today with all thats going on with the Corona virus I needed to hear it you see I lost 2 of my children to Cystic fibrosis the disease the boy had in this episode and felt like it was heaven sent today from my son and daughter who passed from CF

Such a beautiful and powerful song. I love how Wynona is singing and then Monica looks at her and she knows her beautiful boy is gone. But she is still able to sing through her tears and praise God all while she is in pain. Not only is it great acting but sends the message of how even through the tears, loss, and whatever pain you are in, He is right there with you and will give you strength to keep going. Even when there are no words, let us continue to praise Him.

I love how the episode ends, with Audrey (Wynona's character) singing 'Testify to Love', and the entire town even gets it on it, with a full choir that isn't mourning, but celebrating the life of Petey. And then Audrey is able to keep singing, despite her son dying right there in front of her. She truly had strength. I don't think I could ever be that strong if it was my mother that went like that.

I love this song! It reminds me of all the things that God. gave me, family , Friends and a good home. And 64 years with a mother I still miss

I loved the show Touched by An Angel. This was my favourite episode. Just listening to this song makes me miss my Dad even more. :'( He passed away and went home to Heaven in Aug 2011 but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him and miss him. He was my hero.
