I wish that similar program could be run in my country. I remember that my math teacher in high school told us about math competition with finals in Paris. You had to solve few problems and send solution by mail in some preselection zero round. I've tried it by myself and it was early-Internet era. I've spend many hours in libraries and tried to find as many books as I can to get some knowledge (and I had problems with geometry). I haven't solved all problems but I send those which I had ... and never get any answer. It was fun anyway and I've learned a lot, but I think young people need some guidance.
