All gameplay is on authentic retro consoles. No Emulators. Mostly Sega Genesis & Sega related videos will be uploaded. I've collected & reviewed the entire US Sega Genesis library & more along with easter eggs, walkthroughs, glitches & secrets. Support Retro Sunday & SUBSCRIBE!
I also stream OId School RuneScape daily so give me a follow on Twitch at RetroSunday also! :D
NBA Showdown '94, i once broke the backboard with Tim Perry of the 76ers; NBA Live 96 had a cool glitch where you could have more than the allowed create-a-player limit by typing in names already premade in the cartridge database (legends and 1995-96 season rookies) and not altering anything.
Totally agree but he's one of them who class the Mega Drive and Genesis as two seperate consoles despite the fact it was the same console sold under a different name in the US.
@@wizzgamer Genesis/Mega Drive is the same console. The actual library of games is different when comparing US, Europe and Japan exclusives. So, when making a "Genesis" exclusive list I just like to be clear as some titles did not come out on the Genesis and only came out in other parts of the world on the Mega Drive. Also, technically for most PAL Mega Drive games they run at 50hz compared to 60hz NTSC (US Genesis). NTSC updates the screen 16% faster than PAL, small difference but I figured I'd include that tid-bit of info if you didn't know prior. Thanks for watching and commenting! :D
In the rest of post-soviet countries, Dendy was a slang. Also, Micro Genius has something called "Dendy mode". It just slowed the frame rate down to 50 fps, thanks to the vertical sync(many games and GPU drivers today offer this feature to sync the frame rate with your monitor's refresh rate) and it being sold to regions that is mostly PAL(with post-soviet countries, you had to use the PAL/SECAM converter). You can experience it yourself with the FCEUX emulator by enabling Dendy mode on an NTSC game.
I also wanted to mention cartridges. Most of the bootleg cartridges actually had games in Japanese(also Famicom exclusives, like Kiyatto Ninden Teyandee, aka Samurai Pizza Cats). And seeing the so-familiar kanji(thank you China), people thought that the game is in Chinese, while they couldn't understand shit. And speaking of Famicom exclusives, Battle City became a huge hit there, while in Japan, it was a market failure.
Over the years I think I spent around 12 grand altogether on the entire collection (prior to selling a good portion) maybe 8-9 grand on complete Genesis collection alone? Thanks for watching and commenting! :D
It looks like one batting character model with 3 stances (closed, neutral, open). Are there any other size players or different stances on other teams?
Huge Genesis fan here; I learned some new nuggets of info from this that I hadn't heard so thank you for that! I don't want to echo the editing commentary others already have, instead I just wanna say keep it up, definitely gotta support fellow Sega fans. 👍
I remember a contest where you would send a drawing of a morphed design to win. I don’t remember what the prizes were other than the top pick got their design put into the sequel. I was 12 and participated and I got 4th place. I got a free copy of vector man 2 in the mail. Also speed run tip. Pause game and enter C,A, left, left, A, C, A, B. Turns you into an arrow and you can just move yourself at high speed to the end of the level or boss area. Pause and enter code again.
Comment much appreciated, didn't know about that code it will help when I practice for speedruns again eventually. Cool info also, I didn't know about that contest until hearing it from you, awesome that you remember placing 4th and receiving a copy of Vectorman 2, congrats! :D

There wasn’t anything special about the game box which was the cheaper card board boxes and not the plastic clamshell. That’s all I can remember.
Having Bill Walsh '95 in the mid 20's is not defensible in any way. And there were way too many bad games ranked higher than some of the Montana games. Bizarre list.
3:15 The acceleration in Roadblasters is the d-pad up, and down to decelerate. If you think that's frustrating, try to start the game. The start button goes to a settings screen. The A button takes you to the first race menu. 🤔
Coach of the Oakland A's during the '80s & 90 Smash Brothers era (Canseco and McGwire, Ricky Henderson). He went on to coach the St Louis Cardinals in the 2000s.
Yeah, I agree Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge / F-1 Hero is at the very least the worst F1 game on the MegaDrive / Genesis. I missed some games (the Micromachines series has 4 games on the console), or some of the Japanese exclusives among others.
@@RetroSunday the sequel to F1 was probably not released in North America? That one is great too. The later Micro Machines games are also even better than the first, especially MM Military.
@@CasperEgas F1 sequel not on Genesis anyway, unfortunate too. Also, all other Micro Machines games are Mega Drive so that's why I didn't add them to this list, that being said I'll definitely try them out if I ever see one.
That 1001 i think is a 72 pin, but it looks like the bezel was extended or adapted. I bet it was an easy adapt feature for distributors to make it region frievdly based on cart availability
I had a lot of fun playing the road rash games with my dad back in the day! A,C,up, start to get the best bike in road rash 2! It was funny to see the cutscenes when you wrecked your bike lol. Have a great weekend btw!
I’m legit surprised the company who made super off road couldn’t get the rights to use Ironman Stewart. I had fun with the arcade version of the game on the many compilation games I’ve played it on. Sorry for my rambling lol.
